On seventeen acres of swaying palm trees and seven miles of gleaming white sugar sand, known as the 'Safest Beach in the World' because of its gentle sloping shore and lack of currents.

Our condo is a one bedroom studio with a king-size bed, with pull-out sofa/bed in the living room. The kitchen is remodeled and fully-equipped. Towels and linens are included. We have a private secure Wi-Fi in the unit, and HD TV with cable and DVD player. Heated pool, gas grills, and tournament-quality clay tennis courts are located on the property. Plenty of free parking.

Most importantly, you directly overlook the Gulf of Mexico from the tenth floor living room, bedroom, and balcony. Sunsets are breathtaking. The 17 acre property runs along the white sand beach, and is adjacent to a private grassy lawn. A nearby estuary is a favorite spot for water bird photographers.

On the other side of the property you can walk across the street to restaurants, Santorini Shopping Plaza, Fish Tale Marina (where you can rent boats, pontoons and fishing gear, with a fishing guide, if you like). Nearby is an executive 18-hole golf course. You can catch a passing trolley and tour the entire island for 50 cents!

Why Judy and Jim Luger chose South Island

We love winter get-aways, and we prefer Florida's Gulf over the dry southwestern U.S. We've been to many areas of Florida, but we decided some years ago to visit only Ft. Meyers Beach. We think it's Florida's best kept secret! It's not overly-developed, but very visitor friendly, with it's island culture in tact.

What makes this condo unique

We like to cook and BBQ, which is very easy at our condo. But there are six very good restaurants right across the street if you feel less ambitious. Our condo is located on 17 acres of lawns and swaying palm trees, just steps to white powder beach.

It's a great place to relax, find peace, and feel good.

Another excellent vacation at EB&T.

The unit was clean as usual. A few minor upgrades were noted and appreciated. The new combination lock to enter the the unit is great. No need to carry (or forget) and possible lose keys. WE WILL BE BACK!

Great place to stay and we will return

This property is located on the quiet south end of the beach, about 5 miles south from the downtown Times Square area. I would have given our condo 5 stars except for the fact repairs were being done on building C and our balcony was locked and not available for use. Even though this was a big bummer Judy was sympathetic to our plight, you couldn't ask for a better condo owner!!

When you go, definitely check out the Trolley. A three day pass is only $4.00 per person and makes travel to Time Square a breeze. Trolley's run about every 15-20 minutes and beats trying to find and pay for a place to park.

If you like a quiet location with a beautiful beach this is the place for you! If you plan to do any cooking be advised that only salt and pepper are provided. This was a bit of a bummer and put a damper on our intent to cook a few meals in the condo. A small spice rack would be a great addition.

Also be aware the swimming pool closes at 7:30. A couple nights we would have liked to hang out later but it wasn't a big deal.

if you walk north on the beach there is a bar/restaurant called Pincher's located just a few properties away. It has an outside bar and is a great place for drink or two. Skye's cafe across the street in Santeni Plaza is a great place for an inexpensive breakfast and there is a deli in the same plaza that makes great sandwiches.

wonderful condo!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this great condo. The view is just as advertised. We watched the dolphins daily from the lanai. The sunsets were spectacular. We enjoyed the darkening shades and the nice mattress which both made for great nights sleep! The condo was very well taken care of and we had everything we needed. Secure Wifi was an added benefit. We have stayed at several units at EBTC and this has been the best. We cannot wait to visit again!

Beautiful beach and view!

The view from the 10th floor is amazing. When you walk into the condo, all you see is beautiful blue water! The condo is very clean and well decorated. Extra items in the closet - beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, noodles and a small cooler, were much appreciated. The beach is one of the best on the island with perfect white sand and great shelling. We will definitely be renting this condo again!!

Paradise Found!

I've stayed in a few different units at Estero Beach & Tennis Club and this one is my new favorite. It is evident the owners take great pride in their condo. The little things mean a lot to me, such as comfortable quality deck furniture, celing fans in the bedroom and living room, secure WIFI and clear directions for operating the TV & DVD player. By luck of the changing tides the beach area has increased creating a somewhat private beach for guests at EBTC. Early morning shelling was fabulous, sunset celebrations and entertainment at the tiki bar just a few minutes down the beach were the best ever. The crosswalk to Santini Plaza has been enhanced with lights for even easier access to the great restaurants, shops & Tuesday morning fresh air market. There were many families there celebrating the Christmas and New Year holiday season and people gathered on the beach on New Years eve to witness the midnight fireworks display. Thank you Judy & Jim, I hope to be back in the fall.

Great Views!

My husband and I enjoyed our weeks stay at this very nice condo. It was quiet and very relaxing! We had our coffee every morning on the balcony and the sunsets were incredible!

We enjoyed watching the dolphins and pelicans too. On our walks on the beach we gathered lots of pretty sea shells. The condo was clean and perfect for the 2 of us and was exactly as pictured. (One thing I missed is there is not a dishwasher, so be sure to pick up paper products for easy and quick cleanups after a meal in.)

Overall, would highly recommend for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
