Tastefully refurbished and equipped holiday home in historic wine village of Enkirch, on the long-distance Mosel heights trail.

Ground floor:

Entrance hallway, kitchen, lounge/dining room, exit to decking area with seating for 6.

First floor:

Shower room/wc, bedroom with king-size double bed and seating area, bedroom with 2 single beds.

Top floor:

Bedroom with king-size double bed and seating area, bathroom with tub and separate shower.

The modernisation was carried out with environmentally-friendly technologies in mind, such as external wall-insulation, central heating by a pellet stove in the lounge, and the water is heated either by solar panels or the pellet stove.

Original features were restored, like the oak staircase and the wooden floorboards.

The rooms are bright and friendly, with contemporary furniture and equipment, and all ages will feel comfortable and at home.

                                                                Spotless, very well-equipped, really spacious and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay in the Enkirch house. Located in the centre of the village, it offered a lovely experience of village life. Nearby Traben-Trabach has very good supermarkets.

                                                                The house is very well-situated for visiting towns all along the Mosel or as far away as Heidelberg. Having a car park next to the house was a great asset.

                                                                Enkirch is a lovely village with very friendly and helpful residents.

                                                                Lovely warm welcome. Clean property. Satnav decided to try to access the property through narrow winding cobbled streets - better to go slightly further on and leave main route at middle exit for village.

                                                                We have stayed in this property three times this year bringing guests with us to show them the beautiful Mosel area. The house has everything you need to relax in after a day out exploring. The lady who looks after the property was always there to welcome us and settle us in leaving a bottle of wine in the fridge to start our tasting of the Mosel wine region. We would certainly book again should we return.

                                                                Lovely house in attractive area of charming village. Met the neighbours on our first morning. Super local bakery / cakes / cafe. If you speak the slightest German, go to the tourist office and book the new Monday evening wine tour - great fun, really interesting, great value. Enkirch is quiet and a super place to use as a base to explore the area. Special thank you to Frau Seling who welcomed us to the house.

                                                                I cannot fault our stay, the house is probably the nicest property we have stayed in.

                                                                Not only is the house is old and picturesque but has been fantastically refurbished by the owners. The property is located on a cobbled street in the beautiful historic village of Enkirch. The property has its own parking.

                                                                Considering the house is 100s years old it is well insulated and heated with a wood pellet burner as we were very cosy in the cold weather. The house has been smartly redecorated with modern furniture by the owners and the bedrooms are generously sized. It looks more like a show home than a holiday home. With two bathroom and washing machine and dryer it is perfect for families.

                                                                Next door to the house is a children's playground. 3 mins away is walking into the vineyards and woods at the back of the village. A bakery at the bottom of the village does lovelly bread and cakes for breakfast.

                                                                The nonhof restaurant 3 mins away does great Lunch's and evening meals and you can buy wines straight from the vineyards. The house is only a 20 min drive from Hahn airport. All in all we cannot fault the house and would highly recommend it

The climate is mild, and the location between Cochem and Bernkastel-Kues make Enkirch an excellent base for exploring this most beautiful part of the Mosel region. You will find countless tourist attractions, like historic villages, castles, museums, adventure parks, boat trips, wine trails, etc. There are excellent sports facilities for walkers, climbers, cyclists, water sport enthusiasts and golfers. The distance to Frankfurt-Hahn airport is only 18 km, and a good road and motorway network guarantee easy access from all parts of Europe.
