This 3400 square foot, Black Butte home has a feel of seclusion even though it is only a short bike ride from two first rate 18 hole golf courses, tennis, swimming pools, bike trails, and all the other recreational opportunities of the Ranch. The home is at Glaze Meadow 143, in the SE portion of Black Butte Ranch, bordering on National Forest, just south of the bike path. The new Glaze Meadow Recreation Facility (indoor and outdoor pools, steam, massages, facials, work-out room)is about one-half mile away.
The modern kitchen features granite counters and top grade appliances, and looks into a spacious living room with a meadow view nearby. The expansive deck which unfolds onto the surrounding yard of meadow grass and national forest is great for barbecues on our gas grill, wildlife viewing, frisbee tossing or just relaxing. The adjacent garage has additional room for bikes and bags.

Our family has enjoyed Black Butte Ranch since 1974. It has afforded wonderful recreation, gathering and resting opporunities year-around.
Ken Jernstedt purchased this house in 2001
We enjoy two master suites on the main and 3rd floor, plus a bunk room and queen room on the 2nd floor. We border on secluded national forest. The house has large deck areas facing the forest and a small meadow.
Located just a 5 minute bike ride from the Glaze Meadow Pool and Recreation Center, adjacent to national forest.
My husband and I have stayed at this property several times, and have never been disappointed. I spent time at Black Butte Ranch when I was young and finding this getaway has been a treat for me to revisit such a lovely place.
The home is well cared for, the land is beautifully landscaped, and the location is ideal. The owners are extremely pleasant and easy to work with as well. As soon as you walk in the door, the house feels like a home. It's clean and nicely furnished, and the layout sleeps several people while still offering space to sneak away for a quiet glass of wine or to read a book. The (beautiful) master suite is on the main floor, so if we're traveling without friends, we can just stay on the same floor for the entire trip. The kitchen is open and great for cooking, but there's a great grill on the deck, too.
The house is toward the back of the ranch, so you don't have to deal with heavy traffic or noise. The decks offer prime deer watching, since the back property line borders national forest property. We both love to run and bike, which is easy to do here by just stepping out the front door on the BBR trails. The surrounding mountains are also full of hiking trails and offer great skiing in the winter. Overall, we love staying here!
We have stayed in this spectacular house multiple times over the years. Its location is ideal, bordering on US Forest property for privacy, yet also being an easy bike ride or walk away from all of the activities at Glaze Meadow Pool. The house has all of the comforts of home: TVs, DVRs, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, updated bathrooms. The outside decks are gorgeous. An added bonus is the use of the house bicycles, almost a necessity at BBR. The owner is very responsive to any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this property!
