Best view on the island

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd time staying at the sunshine house. We stayed in 2014 for 13 days and again in april for 13 days. Waking up to this view is breathtaking. I can't say enough about the view; it is my happy place.

The home is ocean view and if you are adventurous you can have all the beach and ocean you like. My family and I are adventurous so hiking down the hill to explore our own beaches is totally fine w/ us. We were a party of 5: 2 adults, 16,14, & 7 year old. The sunshine house is a great value with an unbeatable view.

Trip of a Lifetime

  • 5 of 5

We just returned back from Sunshine house, and we are already itching to go back as soon as possible. By "we" I mean three couples from MA that had been planning a "30 year" trip for the past 5 years to celebrate our husbands turning 30. The Sunshine House (and Providenciales) in general was the perfect getaway. Renting a car is a must to stay here, as it's location is quite secluded and at the end of a dirt road. Plus you will want to explore what the rest of the island has to offer (and experience driving on the left side of the road if you are from the US). No point of interest is more than 15 minutes from the Sunshine house, and we visited multiple beaches and restaurants that Robin, the owner, kindly recommended to us. Robin was fantastic, and happened to be on the island during our stay. She met us at the airport, guided us to the house, and spent time showing us where all the great restaurants, beaches, reefs, and grocery stores were on the map. And she quickly answered any messages I sent her while we were at the house. While you are there you MUST check out the reef on Grace Bay. This is one of the most famous beaches, and as such it is one of the most crowded, so we didn't spend too much time there. BUT, when we went snorkeling there, we saw sea turtles, sting ray, and flounders!! I would also recommend doing a snorkel adventure on a boat, because you may run into JoJo the curious dolphin that often approaches snorkel boats. We were lucky enough to swim with Jojo, one of the best experiences of the trip! I would also recommend Long Bay beach, which is truly a site to see with all the kite surfers and the crystal blue water that stretches so far it becomes one with the sky. It is also a super shallow beach, and there's barely any development on the beach itself. For restaurants you have to do Bugaloo's (which has live music some nights) and Da Conch Shack (the freshest conch, they will actually crack them open there for you to see). On Thursday nights they have an island fish fry where most of the restaurants on the island set up booths. There will be plenty of options for food and drinks (most booths accept credit cards), and there is live music and entertainment. We had a blast there. Lastly, you do need to walk down the path from the Sunshine House to the small coves at the base of the bluff. Perfectly pristine and private, and we found 4 sand dollars while snorkeling there. Thank you Robin for sharing your piece of paradise!!

Unimaginable Beauty. Perfect Location. Perfection.

  • 5 of 5

Sunshine House is a place that needs to be experienced. The pictures are amazing, but once you are there, sitting by the pool, gazing into the impossibly blue waters, you cannot fully comprehend the beauty. In fact, while my family was there, we had no less than 5 cars pull up the driveway. They were previous renters hoping to catch one more view from the pool deck.

The house was perfect for my family of 5. It felt like a private oasis. We would explore the various beaches after having spent time on our own by the pool or down at the beach a short walk away. Everything you would want was in the house. The owners were a treat to deal with, as was the property manager.

This is a holiday you will remember for a long time to come. Thank you for making everything so perfect!

My hubby and I joined our two daughters and their husbands(from NYC and California) for a week at the Sunshine House. Betty was there to greet us and guided us to the Sunshine House. It was a bit challenging to drive the rental car on the left side of the road and also have the driver's seat on the right side of the car but the traffic stays at a lower speed limit than here in the states so that was helpful! Sunshine House is fabulous - it is as beautiful as the pictures show. The house is very clean, everything is in working order. The bedrooms were great with comfortable beds and the island breezes were amazing! The pool was very nice. We enjoyed hiking regularly down to the beach and we enjoyed 2 afternoons soaking in the ocean by our own private beach - sandy bottom - great for tubing. (We purchased 4 inner tubes for this). We saw a large sting ray and starfish. The outside seating was amazing - we started the day every morning with coffee poolside. We ate 2 meals in town but we really loved staying at the house, cooking and enjoying the home. We did hiking from the private beach below along the coast. We enjoyed many beaches including Grace Beach, Taylor Beach and several others. The best snorkeling was at Smith Reef. For 6 adults, the house was a comfortable size for sure. Be sure to use spray for the No-see-ums as they are for real! They even provide vapor plug-ins for each bedroom - use them at night! We have stayed at many tropical islands/locations and this was one of the most relaxing, enjoyable ever. Thank you for Sunshine House - it is worth every penny! We enjoyed ice cream at Giggles and also coffee and bakery items at Crust Bakery! We also enjoyed exploring much of the island. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! We would highly recommend it.

Gorgeous views, comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Sunshine House for the first week of December, 2014. It was my mom, my husband, and myself. The home is just as described. It has gorgeous views, and the lot has spectacular landscaping. The home is not luxurious but very comfortable and cozy. In the pictures, it looks as though the house is close to a beach, it is not. However; the price reflects the location, and there are LOTS of positives with this house.

We loved...

the VIEWS - having coffee in the mornings taking in the beautiful landscape

the pool and patio

the sunsets

the quiet and very private location

how well the home was stocked with towels, kitchen equipment, sheets, etc.

We didn't care for...

the distance to a good beach

the gravel roads to get to the Sunshine House

mosquitos and "no-see-ums" (small flea-like biting bugs that live in the Caribbean)

Stayed feb 2104 and I loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented the sunshine house in feb 2014 for 10 days. The views are amazing!! And INFACT anywhere we ate, they knew of this place and said it is the best view on the island. This place is very secluded, but central to everything. You have to have a car. There is beach access but you have to climb down a huge hill. We did not mind at all. We loved exploring. We found star fish through discovery bay, a Sting ray, and a turtle. The house has no AC, but in feb we did not need it. We ventured all the time! The owners were wonderful to work with. So was Betty. The pool was great. We have no complaints only positves.
