Location! Location! Location! The Mana Kai Resort is located right on one of the nicest beaches on Maui. It is 'Right There' on the beach with an unobstructed ocean view!!! Just fade off to sleep to the sounds of the surf. The ocean water is warm and clear, and the snorkeling is great.

Our condo is Mana Kai 601 which is a 'Superior' unit. In addition, all of the Mana Kai units have great ocean views from one bedroom, but the only Mana Kai units with unobstructed ocean views from both bedrooms are the units closest to the ocean and ending on “01”. Our condo has great ocean views from both bedrooms. In addition, in the "01" units, the walkway to the front door does not go past the bedroom window, so there is additional privacy in these units. Once again, location is key, and Mana Kai 601 has the location!

Mana Kai 601 is also one of a handful of Mana Kai units with Central Air Conditioning as opposed to AC in the back bedroom only.

The condo has been very nicely renovated and we are constantly upgrading the unit so it stays in great condition.

The resort also features a beautiful oceanfront swimming pool in a tropical garden setting, and is home to 'The Five Palms' Restaurant as well as 'Zack's Deli and General Store'. There is also a BBQ area available on the grounds for guest use. On the ground floor, there is a beach rental shop in case you would like to rent bikes, paddle boards, snorkeling gear, etc... To top it all off, the world-class golf courses of Wailea and Makena are minutes away.

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium is ideal for your Maui vacation. It has a full kitchen for the times that you want to stay in and have an ocean view dinner on the large lanai. Beach and Bath Towels are provided. In addition, the condo has FREE HIGH SPEED WIFI INTERNET ACCESS as well as FREE LOCAL AND LONG DISTANCE CALLS TO THE US AND CANADA. You will also have a free reserved parking spot.

The Mana Kai is located at the extreme south end of Kihei, a few hundred yards down the beach from the Wailea border.

Note regarding Mana Kai Renovations in 2017: The Mana Kai is a premier property in Maui. In order to keep the units at the top of their game, there are times when renovations will take place. In 2017, between April 15th and October 13th, there are more units than usual that are going to be going through various levels of interior renovation. The dates of these renovations vary and are not easy to pin down. Owners and the work crews have general dates laid out, however these dates are not engraved in stone. The Mana Kai building itself is not being renovated, it was renovated a few years ago. The interiors of selected units are being renovated. Noise levels during renovations typically run from low levels to higher levels, depending on the work they are doing that day in that unit. The days that they are removing old tile is when it’s loudest, but this is usually just for a couple of days during a particular unit’s renovation. We don’t have any details on when tile will be removed, just the dates that certain units are affected. The work is only done during daytime hours so most guests are out for most of the day anyway. Because of the renovations, we have added "Construction Specials" to our pricing during the projected renovation periods. You will see these under "Rates". This is an opportunity to get discounted rates on a fantastic condo. If you will be out during the daytime, the impact on you will be minimal. If you plan on napping during the day, you may want to choose a different resort if your trip falls between April 15th and October 13th, 2017. These dates and the work that will be done is completely out of our control, we are along for the ride too. Thanks for understanding.

About The Owner

My name is Erik Simon and this is my family's condo. I handle the bookings for the condo, along with our family friend, Rick Lindgren. My dad, Dick Simon and my brother, Jeff Simon, live in Maui and are real estate brokers. I live in San Diego, and Rick lives in Palos Verdes Estates, California. We all know Maui very well and will take great care of you.

Why The Owner chose South Maui

We chose this location because our family is in the real estate business on Maui and through this experience we found the the Mana Kai is hands down in the best location on the island. The view from the Mana Kai can not be beaten and the beach that it is located (Keawakapu Beach) on has the softest sand on Maui.

What makes this condo unique

In addition to the large lanai which is great for ocean front dining, the Mana Kai is home to the Five Palms restaurant. There is also a general store with a deli on the ground floor, as well as a beach rental shop with bikes, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, etc...

We stayed in condo 601 and it was the most wonderful 10 days of our lives. The condo was comfortable and clean, the view was amazing. We loved how convenient it was- the pool was right outside the door which was a 20 second walk from the beach...which was a perfect beach for snorkeling and swimming. I could go on and on about the location. Dreamy!!



The on-site restaurant is very good and the convenience store was reasonable and well-stocked. We saw about 50 whales from our balcony and watched the sunset every night. It could not have been more perfect.



The owner of our unit was so generous and courteous! He called and checked in a couple of times, asking us if we were happy and comfortable, and encouraged us to make ourselves at home. The kitchen had every utensil and gadget one would ever need and plenty of dish ware. They even had cups with tops for our young son.



I hesitate to even write this because I want that condo for myself should we decide to go again in the next few months, but I feel the need to clue you all in. This is the place to stay IMO. Doesn't get better or more relaxing!

Mana Kai

All the units here have great views out toward Molokini and the south. The unit is clean and fully equipped for your stay. I particularly like having the deli and 5 Palms restaurant right on the first floor - very convenient for food and drink onsite. The beach and walking are one of the best for this area, so you cant go wrong staying in this location...have fun!

Hi Erik,

I just wanted to send a quick note and say that we really enjoyed your condo again for our duration of 26SEP-3OCT!! The amenities are great and the view is wonderful. We took 4 extra people with us this time (not all in this condo, they stayed in 508) and they all agreed that this is an absolute prime location for enjoying Maui.

As always, the condo was pristine, very welcoming, and comfortable. 601 is definitely a prime location as it is closest to the beach!

We seem to be on a 2 year pattern for returning to Maui, so I may be emailing/calling you again next year.

Thanks again for providing such a great place to enjoy Maui!

We had the time of our lives on our first trip to Maui!

We had the time of our lives on our first trip to Maui! The condo was amazing and we were the envy of our family and friends that stopped by for cocktails on the lanai. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay there.

The condo was pristine for our arrival. What immediately took our breath away was the view from the master bedroom - we had an amazing and completely unobstructed view of the gorgeous beach just yards away - we enjoyed seeing sea turtles swimming right below almost every morning as we had our coffee on the lanai. We were pleasantly surprised at how the entire beach area quieted down after sunset, so we were able to leave the sliding glass doors open and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. The area where your condo is located is not only one of the prettiest beachfront spots on the island, but it is so family friendly. We found ourselves not needing to leave the beach outside the Mana Kai because it was a wonderful area to take beach walks, to snorkel, to swim and to boogie board - not to mention the amazing soft sand! The Mana Kai resort itself was exceptionally beautiful with well maintained grounds and a very nice pool (luxurious and warm pool at that). It was so convenient to have a wonderful beach and pool area literally steps from the condo...no need to pack up the car with beach gear or a picnic lunch as you have everything you need right there!! It was great to have a nice restaurant on the 1st floor of the resort. We had a couple meals there and had friends over to enjoy the amazing happy hour (from 3-9 pm!). We were able to enjoy a great adults-only dinner in the restaurant while my son and his cousin had a "pizza & movie night in" in the condo a few steps away.

The condo itself was sooo comfortable - the beds and bedding in both rooms made for very restful and peaceful sleeps and the furniture in the condo was very comfortable when we wanted to watch a little TV or hang out indoors. The kitchen had everything we needed and we prepared most of our meals there at the condo.

My husband and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to St. Thomas and, with my husband's previous job as an editor for a fishing magazine, we traveled to various parts of Mexico and Baja. Because of our wonderful stay at your condo and how much we enjoyed Maui as a family, Maui is now the top of our wish list for our next "big" family vacation. We would LOVE to stay in your condo again!!

Erik—we had the best time.

This was my 5th or 6th stay at Mana Kai.

We got married there too!!

Great place and one of the best rooms in the building. And we left it in fine shape.
