About the property

3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom In A Great Location! Perfect For Every Families Welcome!

Remodeled Craftsman house, old world charm with elegant modern interior in a quiet neighborhood. Private yard. Walking distance to Downtown Olympia. Close drive to Evergreen State College. Co-op/health food store one block away.

Home features hardwood floors, tile bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, new cozy queen beds, large dining area, and a comfortable spacious living room.Up a spiral staircase in the hallway there is a large kid room with bean bags, games, two twin beds and plenty of room for playing.

We love the quiet, well established neighborhood filled with old beautiful homes. We also love the Olympia Coffee Roasters just a couple blocks away, and we enjoy the West side co-op just down the street for getting great healthy food (2 blocks away).

The home is at the head of the Garfield nature trail. It is a nature trail that meanders throughout a five-acre ravine from West Bay Drive to North Rogers Street. It is a nice way to head downtown!

From the little yellow house, it is awesome to walk in to the city center and have dinner or breakfast, then after to stroll around Capitol Lake. You can visit the art galleries, the shops, and walk along the bay.

If you need to shop or want to see a movie, we are less than a mile from the Westfield Mall. This is a great home in a great location.

We are happy to help you enjoy your stay in Olympia and are available via phone/email for questions, or help, but we are not on premises.

You have the entire home, with private yard, and parking.

Bus lines are nearby and there is free parking in the back of the home, convenient and off street.

About Ahtumn Delacroix

We are a growing family, that loves to travel...We like to have the experience, when traveling, that has a more comfortable, and more local feel than a hotel. That has lead us to many VRBO properties, and even more memories made.

Ahtumn Delacroix purchased this house in 2013

Why Ahtumn Delacroix chose Northwest Olympia

We found this home and bought it to resell, but while remodeling, we fell in love with the home, and its character, not to mention the location! We then decided to keep it as an investment, and a vacation spot for when in the sweet Olympia area.

Another great vacation in our favorite Little Yellow House

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay in the Little Yellow House in a great neighborhood in Olympia, WA. Immediately upon arriving it felt like returning home. Ahtumn left three pints of local berries and somewhere around 18 farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator for us. It was hard work, but we finished them off.

The house is equipped with everything we wanted for our two week stay. Our grandson, who visited while we were there, really loves the attic rooms and all the games up there.

If you enjoy walking interesting neighborhoods, this is a great place. You can walk a number of routes on flat sidewalks, or walk down (and then back up) the hill to downtown Olympia, Tugboat Annie's, or the Olympia library.

The home is close to the Olympia mall, a number of good grocery stores, and a pretty good selection of eating places and taverns within walking distance.

This trip's great discovery was the "smart" TV in the living room. Between regular cable TV, Amazon Prime, and Pandora, we never lacked for something in the background. The TV of course also has access to Hulu and a number of other streaming services.

We cooked on the grill as well as the great gas stove, ate blackberries picked from the vines in the yard, washed and dried our clothes in the appliances in the home, and just generally lived as we normally do.

Perfect house

  • 5 of 5

This house was absolutely perfect for us. It was my husband and I and our two girls age 1 and 4. The house had everything we needed and more. There were tons of toys for the girls, the beds were awesome, great location. Authum was a wonderful host. We will definitely be back!

Loved this cute house

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this house. We had two 2 year old boys between our two families and they had plenty of room to play! Not to mention the house had some great toys to keep them occupied. We would stay here again for sure!

Map

Car: not necessary

Down town, (just a ten minute walk down the hill), has much to offer! Some of which are, the farmers market ( biggest in the state), art galleries, restaurants on the water, the marina, the Capitol (set above the beautiful capitol lake which is a great spot for a walk), coffee houses, live theaters and many shops. Percival Landing has 1.5 miles of boardwalk with artwork and interpretive displays outline the history of the harbor. The Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge offers miles of level trails for those interested in Puget Sound Wildlife, especially birds. To help capture your findings, they are complete with viewing platforms and photo blinds. Also, the Hands-On Children's Museum, a state-of-the-arts educational playground for kids of all ages. It's right next door to the Wet Science Museum. It showcases the water cycle and how we humans participate in both polluting and cleaning our water. There is still so much more in Olympia!
