1826 Beach side Tennis Villa is a wonderful combination of nature and refinement. Wrap-around balcony with elevated table and chairs permits you to take in nature and the beach. Fully appointed kitchen, three large flat-screen televisions, and DVD players permit you to have the best of both worlds on vacation. All TVs come with HD, HBO and sports package.

Bedrooms are well appointed. Master bedroom has a king-size bed and a wall of bookcases to insulate you from guest bedroom next door. Guests bedroom has two queen beds. Master bath has a walk-in shower, while guest bedroom has a shower tub. Both bathrooms have double vanities. Separate HVAC thermostats for guest/living area and Master bedroom.

Kitchen has up to date appliances, as well as settings for 8 people. Both glass and plastic containers furnished, the latter for beach and pool use.

Walls decorated with a combination of original art work and more classic prints. Villa is almost 1,500 square feet, keeping even a full house from being on top of each other.

Why South Beach Properites of Hilon Head LLC, SC chose Sea Pines

Beachside Tennis Villa is in the South Beach Marina area, which is the southernmost point of both Hilton Head Island and Sea Pines. It's location keeps down crowds, even in the summer. It is far less touristy than Harbor Town, if you do not have a reason to come here you probably will not wind up here.

The Salty Dog Café is across the street from the villa. The South Beach Marina is more of a small town than a tourist spot. It houses a convenience store, fashion shops and gifts galore.

What makes this villa unique

South Beach is known for its privacy and being out of the way. While only 15 minutes from Harbor Town, it is still in a world of its own. The location keeps traffic to a minimum, as there is no reason to be in South Beach unless you stay here or are visiting the Marina.

It was originally designed as a fishing village, and retains it charm even to this day.

Loved the view!

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved that the room was on the end. It was so peaceful sitting out on the balcony. The room was very clean! The view was beautiful from all the rooms. The only issue we had was the microwave was not working however they brought out a brand new counter microwave for us to use for the week. This was the only issue we had and it was fixed quickly. We will definitely be back!

Great location needing an update

This is our 2nd year staying in this second floor villa. We love the location overlooking the ocean, near Braddock Point and within walking distance to the Salty Dog. The floor plan allows for guests to have their own master suite off the living space, while the king size master bedroom is down a short hall. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen has just about everything one would need....(though we always seem to need additional items no matter where we stay). Washer/ dryer were new last year.

As much as we have loved the location and floor plan, the space is starting to show wear. Some windows and patio doors are foggy/ dirty on the inside of the glass, the walls need to be touched up or repainted, jute rugs and draperies could use a good cleaning (or replace them) and new linens in the master are in order.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your input. The unit is slated for updating in April/May. Frankly, this villa is so popular it is difficult to get interior designers/painters in to make the upgrades. However, it will be done. Housekeeping will be informed of the window and patio issues. That is not acceptable. The rugs will be cleaned as soon as possible. Again, I thank you for bringing this to my attention. Warren Barnett

Best of two worlds... beach and wildlife

Beautiful sandy beach during the day and lush forestry full of deer roaming in the yard and the dunes in the mornings and evenings. 3 words... rest, relax, repeat. Can't wait to return next year.

Lovely Getaway

My husband and 4 daughters stayed in this lovely condo the last week of December. The view was beautiful and we loved the location as well. Had a wonderful time and will plan to go back and hopefully stay in this same condo.

Hermine couldn't stop this beauty

We had to leave our week a day early due to Hurricane Hermine, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our trip thoroughly. The condo couldn't have a better layout. It is the best layout out of all of our vacations. It has high end tile, counters, etc. The view is spectacular. My wife and I were also investigating retiring in the area. Heard rumors of these places going for 3/4 of a million dollars and I can believe it. We saw deer, geckos and dolphins without leaving our room. The pool was a definite highlight. The kitchen came with most needs. The sound water was warm and comforting. We were close to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. The beach was a little further away then we would like but doable. There were many ants on our walk to the beach. Tide is in at night and there is hardly any beach but during the daytime there is plenty beach. All retail, food and homes in the area are the same painted color and sometime difficult to find. Businesses don't have the best signage from the road. Not sure why they would do that over the entire Island, but it didn't stop us from finding places, just made it more difficult. Overall we had a blast and it was very relaxing. Not sure we will return - more because the Island is geared towards golf and we're just not into that. May be trying another beach site in SC or NC next year. Again though, would highly recommend this condo.

Owner's Response: First, I am glad you found the villa to be to your liking. Let me try to expand upon some of your observations. The signage and lighting regulations are island-wide. They were decided upon before the island was developed in 1955. The smaller signs are an effort to minimize the impact of signs on the environment. Lighting is minimized in order not to mislead the sea turtles, who nest on the beach in the summer. Bright lights can confuse them into believing they are moons, and cause them to go inland when they need to be oriented to the water. One dividend of this rule is that, on a clear night you can see the stars from your balcony. Paint colors for buildings in Sea Pines are regulated by an architectural review board, who promotes earth tones so as to have the homes blend into the surroundings. Sea Pines does have a golf orientation, with three courses of varying levels of difficulty. There are also 20 miles of bike and walking paths, a 605 acre forest preserve, horseback riding, historic sites, and two places to play tennis, one of which is across the street from the villa. Being over 5,000 acres in size, I believe all of these pursuits are accommodated in Sea Pines without one dominating the other. The developer of Sea Pines, Charles Frazer, decreed that 30 percent of the land in Sea Pines be left in its natural state. This, plus the island rule that no building can be over six stories, leads to a low density that makes Sea Pines less crowded than similar resorts in this and other areas.

South Beach is the perfect combination of location and privacy. Because it is literally at the end of the island, few people come by unless this is their destination. This makes crowds far smaller than Harbor Town or Oceanside further north. At the same time, you have great expanses of beachfront, which is available to everyone. Given the low density of the area, it is almost impossible for the beaches to get crowded compared to their public counterpart outside Sea Pines. Wonderful views of the sunset from the balcony. Very peaceful and relaxing.
