Spacious 3BR Villa Close To The Beach

We know you will love our peaceful and quiet villa located in the Fairways, a beautiful and private condo development within the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort. The development has lush grounds, a hotel size pool (with attached kiddie pool), lava rock waterfall hot tub, fitness room and a recreation pavilion.

Our two story villa has three bedrooms and two and one half baths and sleeps six comfortably. It includes a downstairs master suite with island furniture and master bathroom with a jetted bathtub and large shower. Two other bedrooms and a full bath are located upstairs. Bedroom two, the Princess Kaiulani bedroom has a king bed and bedroom three, the Explorer bedroom has two twin beds. We also have a port-a-crib located in the Explorer bedroom closet. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need. Our villa has a full-size washer and dryer, wireless Internet, four TV's, AC and an outdoor BBQ on a private lanai that has a table, chairs and loungers. Towels and beach equipment are also available for your use.

As our guest you will have access to the private Mauna Lani Beach Club which includes lounge chairs, cabanas, showers and the Napua Restaurant. We are close to two championship golf courses, beautiful white sand beaches and the Fairmont Orchid and Mauna Lani Bay hotels. Guests can be attended to by our on-island property concierge if needed.

We are a short drive or walk to the Shops at Mauna Lani. Shops include a Foodland grocery store, coffee and smoothie shop, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Tommy Bahama Bar and Grill, Monstera sushi restaurant and other boutique stores.

About Wayne

Wayne is an earth scientist in the energy industry and Diana is a retired educator. We first visited the Big Island in 1976 and made a pledge to return to Hawaii every other year for vacation. Over time we began visiting even more frequently and decided it was time to buy.

Wayne purchased this townhome in 2014

Why Wayne chose Kohala Coast

We chose the Big Island because it was not as busy as Oahu or Maui and has better infrastructure than Kauai. We also realized that the Big Island has some of the best beaches in the world, if you know how to find them. The Kohala Coast offers the finest resorts along with the best weather. The trade winds that blow through the saddle between the volcanic peaks keep the air cool and clear. It is no surprise that 9 of the top 10 most expensive homes in the State of Hawaii are located nearby on the Kohala Coast!

What makes this townhome unique

We wanted to be close to the best beaches in Hawaii. Hapuna, Kauna'oa (Mauna Kea), 69 and 49 Black Sand are all just a short drive away. We also have the benefit of using the parking, cabanas and beach chairs at the Mauna Lani Beach Club Beach which offers great water sports and snorkeling. Our villa is special since the master bedroom is downstairs, there is a barbecue grill on the lanai and it has direct access from the garage.

Beautiful complex in a fantastic area- Mauna Lani.

Condo was very well stocked. Had many unexpected extras, spices, condiments etc etc. also everything needed for a great time at the beach- chairs, umbrella, boards. Would highly recommend!

Great Stay with both Mother and Children

We had a great stay at the Fairway Villas. This was perfect as we had a dental course at the Orchid at Mauna Lani,-- and with children, the condo was a perfect fit. While the property is not directly on the beach, a private beach is just a few miles away by car...and it is really lovely.

Delightful

We shared Wayne and Diana's condo with our good friends for three weeks. Not enough time! The condo was perfect for us, had everything we needed, and we loved being close enough to walk to the Fairmont and to Mauna Lani's Hotel. We especially liked having access to the Beach Club, a short drive away. We're already talking about our return trip and longer stay next year. That way, we might find the time to enjoy the pool, and even use the gym [nah]. Golf instead. Mauna Lani's two courses are gorgeous, and not ridiculously difficult either.

Very well kept property

Booked at last minute, it was clean well stocked condo. Would be better for 4-6 people. Location is an easy walk to everything.

Large villa in Fairways

This was a large and incredibly spacious three bedroom unit in the Fairways complex in the Mauna Lani area. There is one very large bedroom on the main floor with an ensuite bathroom that is the size of a small hotel room. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen supplies for cooking small and large meals. The gas BBQ is ready for outdoor cooks. There is a nice table outside to relax while preparing dinner. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs as well as a third bathroom.

No complaints - the owner and local caretaker were very responsive to email requests and would respond very quickly. The unit is quiet and the complex is well maintained. It is a short walk to the pool area.

This unit ideally suited for a larger family or for two small families or even three couples. We were a family of four and it was almost too much space.

There is access to a private beach club, accessible by car, but the best beach in walking distance is probably the one at the Fairmont, which is 10 minutes away by foot. The owner stocks the unit with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, sand toys, and coolers if you need them.

While we did not use them, there was also all the equipment you would need if you were travelling with an infant in the unit.
