About Aaron Wilkinson

We are a couple currently living in Peaks Island, Maine. Pam is a children's book illustrator. Rich is a retired restaurateur and music club owner.

Aaron Wilkinson purchased this house in 2014

Why Aaron Wilkinson chose New Orleans

Escaping the brutal winters of Maine, we travelled throughout the south searching for a winter escape. We fell in love the New Orleans, the music, the food, the architecture and, most of all, the people. After renovating a sprawling farmhouse in Maine, we dreamed of simplifying our life. We searched for a small, manageable, fully renovated house with two bedrooms and two baths just off of Magazine St. And on January 15, 2014, we found exactly what we were looking for. We are here for the winter. A friend, Aaron (whom we met by staying in his VRBO) provides hands on management the rest of the year

What makes this house unique

This home was completely renovated in 2014. Yet much of the architectural integrity of the hundred plus year old shotgun house

Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

I am a seasoned New Orleans traveler and stayed numerous locations in all areas of the city. If you can't find good to say about this place then New Orleans probably not the place for you. I slept like a rock due to the house is so quite and the beds a so comfortable. Parking at the front door is almost unheard of and you are safe and at the front with your car steps from the front door. House is exactly as in images with no disappointments. Great living room furniture and shotgun style leaves for open space to feel like this home is larger than it actually is, but that being said this house is spacious and user friendly. I will stay here as often as I can for my up coming trips to the city. Can't say enough, it checks off on my list of places as number one. I will seek out the house again. Thank you!!! For allowing us to appreciate you space in NOLA.

Nice House in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

This house is very nice. The renovation was very well done, and it is deceptively large! Bathrooms were very modern and functioned flawlessly. A/C is nice and cold.

House is well stocked with just about anything you might need.

This property is located a block off Magazine Street, close to a lot of fun! Parking was easy, and was always available. Highly recommended!

Great house and location

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for a weekend and not only was it clean and well stocked but we had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We walked everywhere and had plenty of options for food and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Brandy Sorry to hear you found the beds and toilet paper uncomfortable. In the years we have rented the house this is the first complaint we've received about either. Apologies also for the broken coffee pot; it was my understanding that it had been replaced. We thank you for your feedback and will certainly look into each of these issues. Many thanks Aaron Wilkinson
