Quiet, beautiful, friendly

  • 5 of 5

The caretaker was waiting outside for us as we pulled in. The atmosphere is glorious. We originally rented the artist's cottage but had to move to the main building due to some unanticipated repairs. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, flatware, and pots and pans. The fridge and freezer are full sized. Bring your own condiments, oil, spices etc if you plan to cook. We did cook and had a wonderful visit. There is wi-fi in the other part of the building so our teens felt connected, but had to walk across the building to access it so they also were able to set the tech down for a while. Having breakfast on the porch, I was surrounded by hummingbirds, squirrels, and lovely flowers.

Durward's Glen artist's cottage

  • 4 of 5

Lovely place. However, I was kind of surprised that the cottage was as close to the main building as it was, it was about 100'. Guess I was hoping for a little more isolation. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved the bird-watching!

There is nothing like this place anywhere

  • 5 of 5

The Glen is very special. You feel it as soon as you turn off Durward's Glen Road. It's hard to imagine it is so close to the Interstate and the Dells because it's like being in a different world. Places like this just don't exist anymore. I can't say enough about the ambience and feeling you get here. Very healing. Exactly what we all need for refreshing ourselves - body and soul.

A Great Getaway

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I have spent numerous days (and nights) at Durwards Glen. There is a mantle of peace and quiet that permits one to relax and renew your soul. We recommend it highly!

It's very private and provides both nature and holiness if you so desire.
