About the Property
Part of historic and tranquil Durward's Glen Retreat
Main level consists of living room, dining area and bedroom with double/full bed, and covered porch with wicker furniture. Kitchen and full bathroom on lower level. Bedroom with two twin beds upstairs. The Cottage can house a maximum of 4 adults. Charming Gothic details and original fixtures throughout.
All rooms include fresh bed linens and towels. Kitchen is stocked with amenities including cook top and oven, toaster, drip coffee pot, pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
Spacious bathroom includes tub/shower combo.
The Artist's Cottage is nestled next to pristine Prentice Creek, which is audible from the interior of the cottage. It is part of the historic grounds of Durward's Glen, settled by Scottish Immigrants in the mid-1800s.
Durward's Glen is a year-round destination for birders, geologists, botanists and other naturalists. Enjoy hiking trails, a pond, picnic area, fire ring, and canyon surrounded by old-growth white pine and oak.

Durward’s Glen is located in the heart of the Baraboo Range National Natural Landmark near Baraboo, Merrimac, Wisconsin Dells, and Portage. Minutes to natural areas including Devil’s Lake State Park and Parfrey's Glen, the Merrimac Ferry, historic downtown Baraboo, the Aldo Leopold Foundation, International Crane Foundation, Circus World Museum, and indoor and outdoor water parks.
