This home is located in the heart of Port Angeles. It has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a private, fenced in backyard perfect for barbecues. Clean, comfortable and charming
We had a group of 7 stay at Sunset Heights for our son’s wedding. The house was perfect since we were able to use the back porch when we had extra people visit. So glad to have an iron & ironing board to iron the groomsmen’s shirts! It was nice to have the grocery store so close. We had a great time in Port Angeles; nice to retreat to “our house” at the end of the day.
We enjoyed staying in the house. Everything we needed and a great location.
Great place to stay for our family.
Home was in the middle of everything—all places are a drive to Olympic NP. Port Angeles is a great choice! Ferry to Victoria nearby! Lovely home for our family of five! Plenty of beds, nice dining table, tv, WiFi and washer/dryer.
Our experience was okay, fairly good, but not great.
The experience was fairly good but not excellent. We were a party of 7 total—4 adults and 3 teenagers and the house was way too small for our needs. The house is supposed to sleep 8, but this is a very tight fit as there are 3 bedrooms that sleep five people comfortably and a futon that opens up in the living/family room that can sleep maybe 1-2. As a group of 7, we were crowded and with the futon open to accommodate one of us, there was no open gathering area that was big enough for all of us to gather. In addition, there were only six chairs and placemats for dining room table and no extra chairs that worked so we could not sit around the table together. Some items we needed for cooking in the kitchen weren’t there (eg a standard cookie sheet/baking pan) and there were no extra amenities like tin foil or plastic bags which many rental houses have available. There were no written instructions about the house or info about the surrounding area. I think the house is adequate but not great.
The pluses of the house were that the property manager communicated well with us and was helpful and friendly. The check in and check out process went smoothly. The location of the house is good as it is near the downtown and grocery store. We could see beautiful sunsets and snow covered mountains from the front porch which was lovely in the evening. The neighbors were friendly and the area was quiet and peaceful.
I think the house would work well for 5 people (adults) but not 7-8 adults.
This house is perfect and the location is ideal.
Our stay here was great. Such a nice comfy living room and a great dining area for meals and board games.
Nice place, great location!
This home is located in central Port Angeles, WA. It is within walking distance of Safeway groceries, the Black Ball Ferry Line to Victoria, BC, and downtown where one can enjoy local restaurants and shopping. It is also a great starting point for accessing all that the Olympic National Parks have to offer.
