The house is very close to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. We walked to Oktoberfest downtown activities, bars and restaurants. Definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the New Ulm area.
Wwe were able to have a good weekend my peers enjoyed the weekend very much
My family rented the house for our son's graduation from MLC. We were very pleased with our accommodations. As a matter of fact, they exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this rental. In our opinion, it is way better than staying at a motel.
This house was great for our family wedding weekend. Having space for our out of town family to hang out and visit is so important to us. I am glad we thought to check VRBO instead of only the hotels. We were able to walk to parks and shopping.
We had plenty to supplies for our use. I would recommend updating the pillows and towels they had seen better days. The couch could use some cleaning also.
Over all great house and I would recommend to others.
A 5-star rating would have been given if there was a more comfortable bed in bedroom 2, and a little more complete kitchen (though it wasn't bad). Not that I would rate it lower for this, but a powerstrip by the electronics in the living room would be helpful.
The owner (Terry) was very responsive and accommodating, and the manager (Jim)was very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the space to accommodate young children to play while adults visit. There were board games going on in the dining room, puzzles in the kitchen and a foosball/pool table combo upstairs to play. We enjoyed the nice large kitchen for visiting and pitching in to do meals. The dining room was a comfortable size and conveniently open to the living room, which made for a large gathering area. A large surround sectional made the living room comfortable for visiting and watching TV. Main floor laundry allowed me to keep up with the laundry...with grandkids, you know.
We enjoyed the downtown area, the cinema, Schell Brewery Museum, Mexican restaurant and the Turner Hall for some German food. Learned the weekend was the best time to have authentic German dishes. Went sledding with the grandchildren...the hills were great!
Really enjoyed our time! Hope the opportunity arises to visit New Ulm again.
Thank you, Terry!
We had a wonderful time both at the house and in New Ulm in general. We made our own breakfasts and dinners in the well stocked and spacious kitchen, and explored the area during the day. The house was cozy but we had plenty of space to ourselves.
