Built in 1927 is the Lodi Carriage House vacation rental located in the historic Downtown area of Lodi. Two blocks from tasting rooms, wine bars, restaurants, antique shops and specialty boutiques there is something for everyone. Take in a movie at the local cinema or enjoy events at the Hutchins Street Square. Lodi Lake’s picnic areas, wildlife, running and hiking trails, paddle boarding and canoes are just minutes away for those who enjoy the outdoors. As our guest we will be happy to help you plan your trip.

Bright and sunny, the Carriage house sits above the garages of the owner’s main home. This nicely furnished and fully equipped apartment could be just what you need for a relaxing vacation. The amenities include internet access, cable TV, washer/dryer, and hardwood floors. The large kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The two bedroom (one queen and one king bed) sleeps four comfortably. Nicely manicured yards and a charming old Lodi neighborhood make this the perfect place to enjoy the best of Lodi.

Why Tom and Shelly chose Central Valley

Recently 'empty nesters', we purchased our dream home in historic Downtown Lodi. We have been drawn to this area for many years and were fortunate to acquire this newly renovated property.

The Carriage house was built in the 1940's and was built over the main home's coach house (originally built in 1927).

What makes this apartment unique

There is something special about an old home. The incredible craftsmanship, quality materials, and the history it tells.

Very clean, comfortable, pretty doll house!

We are so glad we chose your little doll house for our stay in Lodi. Everything was perfect. We will recommend to friends and family very definitely. The new bathroom was a nice surprise. The garden view is very pretty. The whole place was full of light and cheerful. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking untensils/equipment that we needed. Very very clean. Thank you!

Warm hospitality!

Tom and Shelly were great hosts. Tom took the time to greet us and show us the place at the start of our stay. The Carriage House was really comfortable and a terrific home base while in the Stockton/Lodi area. And the bottle of wine was a very thoughtful touch. We hope to make it back again soon!

Adorable place, and very nice visit

We really enjoyed our stay. This home is downtown, and walking distance to many restaurants and tasting rooms. It also was more spacious than we anticipated, and our hosts were very nice (we enjoyed visiting Tom at Klinker Brick, and really appreciate the bottle of wine!). The only downside was that you can hear the trains all night (I think you will run into this problem anywhere you stay in downtown Lodi, so we don't fault the owners for it).

Cute, cozy and just like home

This was the perfect home base for our family while visiting California from out of state. We spent a wonderful week in the carriage house, and loved every minute of it. The photos are accurate, but do not convey the coziness of this rental. It is tastefully decorated including the updated bathroom. The beds are super comfy (my daughter and I shared the king size bed) and I love the ample closet space. Having a washer and dryer on site was great since there were four of us and a week's worth of clothes to wash. The downtown Lodi area is literally 2 blocks away...we visited the boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops almost daily. Unfortunately our busy schedule did not leave time for us to meet Tom and Shelly, but we appreciate their hospitality and the perfect rental they provided us with!

Wonderful Apartment!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodi Carriage House. Tom and Shelly's apartment is extremely clean, well-equipped and nicely furnished. It is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in. They have gone out of their way to provide everything you need for a comfortable retreat, including a nice bottle of wine to welcome you. We enjoyed walking around the lovely neighborhood and downtown, as well as wine tasting at some of the local wineries. I would definitely stay here again, and would strongly recommend it to others! Thank you, Tom and Shelly, for lovely stay in your carriage house.

The Carriage House is within walking distance to Downtown Lodi, where year round activities include major events that attract thousands. The Lodi Street Faire, boasts over 700 antique and craft vendors the first Sunday in May and October. The School Street Stroll, which take place in early April and October, place local wineries within the unique shops of Downtown Lodi for an evening of great wine, food, and shopping as visitors stroll down the lovely lanes of our historic district. Every Thursday from June to October, its time for the Downtown Farmers Market. All kinds of fresh produce from the Lodi farms and local craft vendors fill the streets. From surrounding award wining wineries, to fabulous local restaurants, Lodi has it all!

Check out Time is no later than 11 a.m. on the Check-out-Date.

Rental Rate and Fees

Standard Rental Rate. Payment in full shall be due within a minimum of 7 (seven) days of the Check-in Date.

Double Occupancy - $ 140 per night for each night. Additional Guests - $20 per night (maximum of two additional persons) per night.

Weekly and Monthly rates are specified on the website.

Corporate and Extended Stay available. Contact owner for quote.

Fees and Taxes. City of Lodi taxes and assessments in the amount of 10.5% (Lodi Tourism Business Improvement District (LTBID) fee of 4.5%, plus San Joaquin County Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 6%) will be added to the total rental rate.

Refundable Damage Deposit. A refundable damage deposit of $100 will be required upon reservation. Damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days, less any damages or excessive wear to the interior and exterior of the property, including, but not limited to, all appliances, electronics, beds, bedding, linens, furnishings, towels, flooring, tables, chairs, counters, window coverings and decorations.

Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel the reservation, rental payment will be refunded as follows:

• 100 % refund if cancelled 8 (eight) days or longer, prior to the Check-in Date
• Rental payment will be refunded less 1 (one) night rental rate if cancelled within 7 (seven) days prior to the Check-in Date
• No refund if cancelled within 3 (three) days prior to Check-in Date. NOTE: if we are able to rent the property to another guest within the 3 (three) days prior to your Check in Date, we will refund a portion or all of your rental payment.
