Knotty pine cabin interior throughout. The main level has 2 bedrooms (sleep 2 each), bath, kitchen, dining room and a charming bead board porch (futon) facing west toward brilliant sunsets over the lake. A large upstairs great room has the feel of a ski lodge - lounge by the gas fireplace looking out the wall of windows and maybe see an eagle fly by. Open the windows and hear the cry of the loon as you sleep in quarters for 3, with full bath and washer/dryer unit.
Down the steps from the porch sits a large deck overlooking the spacious yard with volleyball court, sugar sand beach and clear blue lake. Swim, fish from the dock or paddle a canoe from morning till night. Fire pit and barbeque grill on site.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our little parcel of paradise. We love being 'up north' and feel confident you will go home feeling refreshed and amazed by the beauty of the lake, the sunsets and the peacefulness of nature.
Marsha Beste purchased this cabin in 2013
We love Horseshoe Lake for its clear waters, it's white sandy beach and the abundant fish. One day last summer, our neighbor children caught 23 northern off our pier (good sized, too!). This place is perfect for casting from the dock. The fire pit at night (bring your s'mores) is a great ending to busy days of being in/on the lake, hiking, biking on the Cuyuna Trail or antiquing in Crosby. Nisswa and Brainerd offer many activities as well as nearby Mission Park for hiking, tennis and a playground.
