Kitchen fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and washer to bring you all the comfort for your stay.

Walk for 2 minutes to subway(avenida) or 10 minutes to rossio -the most central square of the city, famous for its cafés like 'nicola' or the pastry 'suiça' but also for its train station, a beautiful monumental building with a superb typical façade of manueline style, where all trains leave to sintra.

clean, well-located, excellent sleep

This is a wonderful, clean, newly-renovated apartment with enough room for our family of four. Within a block you have everything you need: groceries, butcher, great restaurants, etc., and the flat is a short walk to the main square of Rossio and the downtown attractions. It's also very close and convenient to the Avenida metro stop, as well as walkable to Marques de Pombal. The back of the house overlooks a quiet lot (home to an old building currently occupied by cats fed by loving neighbors). It was quite hot in Lisbon during our stay, and we were able to stay cool thanks to the A/C, which is in the living room. One possible error in the ad: the couch/sofa did not seem like a sleeping sofa. That didn't matter for us, as there is a small bedroom that was perfect for our children.

Impressions de Lisbonne

Nous avons passe deux semaines tres agreables dans cet appartement, rua de Santa Marta, 23, haut, large et confortable. Il est tres bien equipe ayant tout ce qu-il est promis dans l-annonce. Frigo, TV, Wi-Fi internet, grandes armoires, ustensiles de cuisine fonctionnels, beaucoup de linge et de serviettes.

Les voisinnages tranquilles et civilises nous ont permis de nous bien reposer.

Les courses faciles a faire a cent metres dans le supermarche de rua Salgueiro et le metro, station Avenida, facile a prendre completent bien le paysage.

Un mot special pour les hotes (les proprietaires et Mme. Silvia Baeta), des gens tres aimables et sympatiques.

Jusqu-a notre prochaine visite, nous l-avons deja recomande a nos amis des USA pour 2016.

Nice and confortable flat in the center of Lisbon

Nice, comfortable, clean and cosy apt. with an ideal location. Situated in a very quiet street but close ( 5 minutes) to the Avenida da Liberdade and to historic downtown (theatre, cinema, fancy shops, restaurants) only 10 minutes walking. We could find anything we needed (restaurants, small markets, shops, etc.). We just love it and we do recommend it.

Annonce quasi mensongère ! L’immeuble est située dans une ruelle défoncée, taguée à hauteur d’homme et squatée par les clochards. Dans cette ruelle c’est le bordel toutes les nuits jusqu’à 2/3 heures du matin. L’arrière de l’appartement donne sur un dépotoir où vivent une douzaine de chats et sur l’arrière d’une boîte de nuit ! Bien sûr les chambres donnent sur ce charmant voisinage! Et bien sur, l’isolation phonique du logement est inexistante ! Quant aux informations de parking données dans l’annonce elles sont également fausses! Ni garage, ni parking gratuit ! Horodateur à 1 euro les cinquante minutes de 9h à 19h, et flics qui tournent en permanence avec PV et sabot! A éviter !!!

Owner's Response: There must be serious flaws with french translation of this review or the reviewer is being dishonest in their comments. There is no false claim in our advertisement whatsoever. I slept in the apt. for the months of June and July and never saw or heard any evidence of any nightclub in the back of the building. Of the cats in the inhabited house, I had a good view every morning when old ladies stopped by to feed them and enjoy their playfulness. There are many inhabited buildings in old historic Lisbon and both the City Government and the private sector is working every day on their restoration. The building in the back of our apt. is also City Government property and will be addressed soon. It does not look pretty yet but the cats are harmless. The location of building is one the greatest assets for each each guest who has stayed there in the past. Parking is a problem like in any old historic city centre. One can only park for free on the street during weekends or after 7 p.m on week days. From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. there are meters at standard rates but there are also 2 underground garages less that 100 meters from the apt, one to the right in the shopping centre and another to the left in neighbourhood hotel. It is unfortunate that this guest took a dog into the apt. without my permission and failed to pay the security fee using the language barrier as the excuse. This left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth but not a good reason for resorting to dishonesty

Car: not necessary

The apartment is located next to one of Europe's most beautiful avenues, Avenida da Liberdade. The Avenue subway station and several bus stops are located within five minutes walk of this apartment and ten minutes is the Rossio train station.

Please walk (5 minutes) to tourist information centre in RESTAURADORES and they will give you free information and brochures and maps!
