Classic Nantucket Cottage With A Farm View. Location, Location, Location

Bedrooms 4
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom With A View Of Bartlett Farm And Close To Everything.

Our beautiful Nantucket home includes 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom on the second floor has a king size bed and a deck that faces Bartlett Farm. Additionally on the second floor there is a bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom with a stall shower. On the first floor there are two bedrooms - one queen and the other with two twin beds. Also, on the first floor is an open living room, dining and kitchen area - great for entertaining and a bathroom with a tub/shower. There is a large outdoor deck and yard with a grill and an outdoor shower (our favorite part of the house). It is a perfect backyard for bar-b-q's.

9 Golfview is in a perfectly central location on Nantucket. It is a very short walk to Bartlett Farm which has a full grocery store and 167 Seafood which has the best fish on the island. It is also a short walk to Miacomet Golf Club which is a public golf course that has recently been redone and offers beautiful and challenging golf. The club also has a great restaurant with casual food - perfect for a casual lunch on the porch even if you don't play golf. It is also a short walk to Cisco Brewery which is the most fun bar on the island. Serving wine, beer and spirits it is outdoors with live music. Cisco brewers is great for after the beach or a cloudy afternoon - bring your kids - the place is family friendly. Miacomet Beach is only 1 mile away or take a short drive or bike ride to Cisco Beach (our favorite) which offers bathrooms and surfing lessons. Don't feel like driving into town and fighting for parking? No problem - 5 min walk to the shuttle into town. Easy and great for large groups that won't fit into one cab. There are so many things that are walkable or bike-able from 9 Golfview that you could survive without a car. But since there are other great places in other parts of the island that you may want to see we still recommend that you get a car so you can make the most of your trip. We love food and are very knowledgeable about the island from many years vacationing here so we are happy to provide our favorite restaurants, bars, hiking trails, beaches, and island secrets.

About Sasha Handelsman

Scott and Sasha bought 9 Golfview in 2006. It has been the best purchase we have ever made. We have recently decide to open it up to rentals. Sasha grew up going to Nantucket (her parents live down the street) and is happy to be back as an adult. Our son Charlie loves it and loves to be outside at the playgrounds and the beach.

Why Sasha Handelsman chose Nantucket

Scott purchased 9 Golfview before Sasha had even seen it. Since Sasha grew up going to Nantucket she knew that the location was too good to pass up. It is right in the center of everything while still feeling beachy and secluded. As soon as they found out how cute the house was they had to make an offer. In 2011 they put on a bigger deck and an upstairs deck so they can see more of the farm.

What makes this house unique

You could spend your whole vacation week at 9 Golfview without ever leaving the area or stepping in a car. Walk to the farm for a few groceries, stop by the brewery on the way back for a beer, and then take a bike ride to the beach. There are not that many places on Nantucket where you can walk to a restaurant, a beach, a bar, a grocery store, and a fish store. It is truly a unique and beautiful location with a stunning view of the farm.

Lovely Nantucket Home in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this home. Great view of the farm, our favorite location, everything we needed for home and the beach. Sasha was very responsive and easy to work with.

Quiet Street... Great House... Outstanding Location

  • 5 of 5

My family spent 2 weeks in this home and had a wonderful experience. Traveled to Nantucket with 4 children and even had my parents visit for a few days. Plenty of room. Great family room that is open to the kitchen. Back deck was perfect for family meals in the evening. House is stocked with everything we needed. Bartlett and Cisco Brewery right around the corner. Short drive (or usually bike ride) to the beach.

Can't say anything about indoor showers because outdoor shower was awesome and we all used it everyday!

Owners are responsive and even checked in with us a couple times during our stay to be sure we were happy and had everything we needed.

We are staying again next year!

Picturesque Getaway

  • 4 of 5

This cottage was very family friendly. The connecting bath to a queen bedroom with a bedroom that had two single beds was perfect

for two little girls. The home had fantastic views of the farm and was incredibly RELAXING sitting on the patio or upper deck watching the sunset.. It was extremely close and easy going to the farm for all our vegetables and basic food items for the week. Our stay was also made

comfortable because the owner was very hospitable, with a welcoming note and flowers, and was quick to provide anything we needed. Flower picking at the farm, the beach, and town was all very convenient. We have been going to Nantucket for years and enjoyed the value and location of this home.

Everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

Exactly what we were hoping for. Short trip to town (we actually walked in one time) even shorter trip to the beach (rode bikes there almost everyday) and even shorter trip (walk, bike drive) to the brewery. Miacomet Golf Course is very close, but the weather was too good for us to spend a day on the course. No kids on our trip so we drove to the end of Hummock Pond Rd daily to hit the beach - awesome waves while we were there and the beach was rarely crowded. There is a main parking lot with outhouses just off Hummock Pond Rd. We are already planning to come back next year. If you are looking to be close to everything - this is the house I would rent - beach, brewery, bartlett farms, golf - my favorite location i've ever stayed on the island.

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Quaint house that has everything you need. It was our first time to Nantucket and we had the pleasure of staying at 9 Golfview Drive. We have an infant (6 months old) so we wanted to be close to things but not in the heart of a busy town. This place was perfect. We were able to walk to Bartlett's Farm, walk to Cisco Brewery and even walk to the beach (although we ended up driving to the beach most days). It was a 5 minute drive to Stop and Shop and a 10 minute drive to downtown. We had a great stay and would recommend this house to others. the owners are a pleasure to deal with and were extremely flexible with all of our needs.
