A fantastic relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

We spent 11 days in August in this wonderful, so thoughtfully appointed home with grandparents, parents and kids ages 1 and 3. Everything was just great: swimming in and kayaking on the lake, meals out on the patio, plenty of room in and out for the young kids to play. The neighborhood is quiet, I hope we didn't disturb the neighbors too much with our squeals of delight. Lots of motorboats and water skiers on the lake.

Walking to the nearby County park is possible but not advisable (no shoulder country roads).

Overall a fantastic stay, hope to come here again next year.

Very Pleasant Stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our two weeks at this comfortable lake home. It was well stocked with plenty of kitchen dishes and supplies. We had everything we needed throughout, included books! The lake is so quiet in the morning and evening that we could sit on the deck and relax and never was it so noisy that we were disturbed. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the house was decorated so nicely. The pleasant neighbor came over to introduce himself after we moved in. A grocery store and other businesses are within a fairly short distance if needed. Thank you to the gracious owners!

Our family had a great time enjoying the this wonderful waterfront home on lake Goodwin. The owners were gracious and attentive and the amenities like kayaks, water toys, BBQ, private beach and dock made this the best vacation ever. We plan on returning again next summer!.

Lovely home, excellent location

  • 4 of 5

Very nice property (a little tricky to find, but once there--GREAT). The kitchen was very well supplied. I brought along lots of things that simply were not necessary because they were supplied at the house (such as foil, salt and pepper, etc...) Next door neighbor was very friendly and chatty; even offered life vests if needed (the house has a number of those, too). House is indeed right on the lake and we made great use of the deck and outside seating/eating area. Grill could have used some attention; we were going to use it but it was dirty also had received a note before our trip that the tank might not be full, so did not want to take a chance or track down a place to fill it ( I will admit that was a bit off putting). However, all in all, great house and great weekend for three generations. My husband and I, our three grown children, two of their spouses and two grandchildren--plenty to do, plenty of room and privacy. Will definitely return. Thanks, Emilie for sharing your home.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the lake house! Our family gathered before our adult children returned to college. The house is beautiful with perfect finishing touches everywhere, from cozy window seats to lovely quilts and the original lake house picture. The location is perfect, great view of the lake and sunsets. There are lots of inviting outdoor spaces and the kayaks allowed us to enjoy the lake even more. The owners have thought of everything. The beds are very comfortable, the gathering space generous, well-appointed kitchen, necessities included in the bathrooms. There was even a basket of sun lotion on the counter (so glad, I had forgotten mine). The summary the owner shared said that they felt it was time to share their lake house with others to make beautiful memories; that's exactly how we felt, as if they had set it up just for us, welcoming us to join in the tranquility and beauty. Couldn't have asked for more!

We had a wonderful time at Lake Goodwin!

  • 4 of 5

Thank you for the opportunity to rent your property for a lakefront vacation. The location and gradual water depth made a safe and enjoyable environment for our grandchildren. We suggest the removal of the rusted track in the water would greatly improve the play area. The floor plan worked well for our family dynamics. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Thank You,

Vic & Sheryl Jipson
