Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Nestled among towering Ponderosa pines, majestic spruces, and quaking aspens, this newly remodeled home on the banks of Fall River offers an idyllic setting for a mountain retreat. Although it is only minutes from shopping and dining in downtown Estes Park, this home’s peaceful and private location will make you feel like you are miles away from your nearest neighbors.

Tucked between massive boulders and shaded by mature pines, fresh landscaping welcomes guests with cheerful mountain varietals, including stunning purple lupines and aspens whose leaves gently rustle in the breeze. A glimpse of the rushing river seen through the breezeway between the house and garage draws you out onto the brand new, spacious deck overlooking Fall River and the forested bank beyond. Spying the gas grill and an alfresco dining set that can seat four, you are already looking forward to relaxing evenings outdoors. You also anticipate lingering over your morning coffee or tea on the flagstone patio with Adirondack chairs that is just steps from the rippling river, or up on the deck’s loveseat.

Entering the home, you find the entryway thoughtfully designed for neatly storing jackets, bags, boots, and hats -- all the accessories that come with a mountain getaway! The home’s stacked, front-loading washer and dryer and all the laundry supplies you could need are also tucked away here.

Stepping into the kitchen, light and airiness wash over you. With a vaulted ceiling and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the river and open onto the deck through two sets of sliding doors, this open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area brings the outdoors in. The sleek white cabinets, cool blue-gray glass backsplash, and warm butcher block countertops work together to suffuse the room with serenity. Stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, microwave, and dishwasher; a full complement of cooking supplies; and, a selection of cookbooks ensure that you will be able to prepare the perfect meals for you and your guests. The extra large butcher block island with four stools that tuck neatly underneath to save space doubles as a countertop dining table with river views.

Flowing seamlessly from the kitchen, the living room invites conversation and relaxation, either beside a roaring wood fire or while enjoying the sights and sounds of the river and forest just outside. Flanking the stone fireplace are two cozy armchairs and a matching couch, which converts to a bed that can sleep two, along with a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with a DVD/CD player that can offer entertainment on quiet evenings or rainy afternoons.

The master bedroom welcomes you to your own serene, private retreat. Windows on two walls, dressed with flowing floor-to-ceiling drapes, offer views of the impressive rock formations and lush pine forests just outside and wash the room in natural light. The clean lines of the modern furnishings, including a king-size bed, open shelving, and a wall-mounted TV, enhance the room’s calming effect. The spacious en suite, full bath with tasteful tile work and a stone-counter sink encourages pampering. Finally, you can stow away your suitcases and clothing in the large cedar closet featuring a rack for hanging clothes; it also houses space heaters and extra pillows.

Whether you are planning a romantic escape or are looking for a peaceful home base for your mountain adventures, the clean, modern design of this home’s interior and its unbeatable riverside location ensure an unforgettable stay in Estes Park.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This magical one-bedroom cabin in Estes Park (gateway city to Rocky Mountain National Park) was like a magical fairy tale. With a beautiful balcony spanning the entire home just steps away from the Fall River was magical. Winter wildlife photography that I took from inside the living room and kitchen windows was exceptional - elk, turkey, mule deer, hawks was simply amazing.

With huge riverside windows, a gourmet kitchen fully stocked and gorgeously comfortable furniture, everything was perfect. Walk-in mud room with large W/D and space for gear, as well as huge closet, everything was absolutely perfect and beautiful. Beautiful, sparkling clean and welcoming for guests needs, I wonderful time and was given more than excellent service with the all the staff at Estes Park Central.

Vacation of a lifetime. Thanks!

Beautiful location, nice place...only 1 issue

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The location was perfect and the cabin was super comfy and quaint. Looks like it was recently and nicely updated too!

My only complaint is that we were given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 adults for 4 nights, and then we were expected to go to the store to buy more if we needed it. That seems a bit stingy to me. I'd rather not have to go to the store on vacation, to supply myself with something that seems pretty standard. How about 1 roll per adult per 2 days (so that would have been 4 rolls for us. I'm not asking for much...) I have already given this feedback to the property managers, so hopefully they will take this into consideration.

Otherwise, this was the perfect little vacation place!

Absolutely lovely property! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

The Romantic Cabin is perfect for a weekend get away. The cabin has a gorgeous view of the river and a great deck to sit on to enjoy the view. Even though there are other cabins around, you feel very secluded and it is so quiet! The kitchen is well appointed and really the cabin has everything you need. Such a great location - just minutes from town. I highly recommend staying at this property. I hope I can stay there again!

Quiet, amazing place for weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

This riverside bungalow is in a very quiet neighborhood and close to many Estes Park attractions. It was a very relaxing home base to come back to between activities (just a few minutes from downtown, Lake Estes, and RMNP).

This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage, great for a couple, but it was also plenty of room for my family of four. One teenager got the pull-out couch and we brought a cot for the other. Space was tight in the mornings until we got everything put away from the night before. But I really enjoyed being in a place that gave us exactly the space we needed... no more, no less.

The chairs at the river bank were the best! I sat there the first morning and enjoyed the quiet while everyone slept. Planned to do the same our last morning, but decided against it when I opened the patio door and was face-to-face with an adolescent black bear munching berries off the bush below the deck! Amazing experience!

Estes Park Central, the property mgmt company, treats renters as mature adults. No muss, no fuss, call if you have issues. I appreciate not being micro-managed through the rental process.

Excellent place, made our long weekend getaway so special. We will book this rental again for our next trip to EP.

High Marks all Around

My wife and I were initially greeted by two elk in the neighbor's front yard and then the place only got better. We found the house to be a perfect match. We enjoyed morning coffee in the sun in the Adirondack chairs by the river, an easy walk to town, and a delicious home cooked meal in the kitchen with dining on the deck. We will look to come back in future years.
