Vacations at Watercolor reflect simpler times – taking bike rides, building sand castles, eating meals together, and enjoying quality family time. Our home (located in the heart of Watercolor) was designed to reflect these times. Built in vintage style for the health conscious, this fabulous open design is perfect for family getaways and just minutes away from the Town Center, Seaside, the Frog pool, the Boat House, and, of course, the Gulf. A spectacular kitchen, designed by a Le Cordon Blue-trained chef, with pink Northstar retro appliances and a huge, strikingly white island, form the heart of the home. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining area with a French Farm House table and dreamy white Great Room with flat screen TV/DVD. A screened porch just off the Great Room makes a great place for breakfast in the morning or drinks in the evening as you watch your neighbors pedal by. Fabulous art by several local artists highlighting local color is displayed throughout. For cool evenings in the winter, enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the fireplace. The full laundry room is on the first floor as is a powder room. There are two master bedrooms, both with king-sized beds. The bedding and the mattresses were specially chosen for nights of sweet dreams. The master on the first floor features Lilly Pulitzer curtains and a large built-in desk. The chandelier-lighted master bath has a spacious walk-in shower, a distinctive claw foot tub, and a double vanity. The screened-in porch off this bedroom overlooks a park and trail and is perfect to enjoy a private cup of coffee in the morning or cocktail in the evening. The upstairs has three bedrooms (including the second master). Two of these have custom-built bunk beds. The first sleeps three (with trundle), has a built-in desk and vintage theater chairs. The second, right next door, sleeps five (with trundle). All bedrooms feature flat-screen TVs, and this one also has a DVD player, so the kids can gather here for movie night if the parents are socializing downstairs. The kids’ bath has a walk-in shower and whimsical farm-style sink. Just down the hall is the second master with a second bath. Access to a huge screened porch is available both through this bedroom and from the hallway. For the health conscious or allergy sufferer, the entire home features Guardian Air to purify the HVAC, filtered water (a Culligan system), with an additional spa filter in the kitchen, hardwood floors and tile (in the baths), and low or no-VOC paint. In addition to these features, this home offers an outdoor shower to wash off the sugar sand after a fun-filled day at the world’s most beautiful beach.

Beautiful home, great location!!
We absolutely loved our stay! The house is beautiful with great amenities, and the location is awesome! We rode the bikes to the beach every day! The bike ride through Watercolor was so peaceful and fun! We will definitely be back!!
Thank you for such a sweet review and for being such lovely guests! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you back next year.
Great House; Great Location; Great Owner
My family and I have been to Watercolor 5 or 6 times and went back in July. This owner is the best we have worked with. The house was in great shape when we arrived, and Vicky was very helpful with a couple of special requests. The place is 30 second bike ride from the footbridge over Western Lake, and closer to the Frog Pool. Very conveniently located to everything my family and I did. There was ample room for our crew, and the place had everything we needed. The kids loved the bunkrooms upstairs and we even made use of some of the games at the house because we forgot ours. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for being such lovely guests and for writing such a sweet review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay... We hope to see you again next year.
Terrific Home to stay in Watercolor
We have stayed at several homes in the area over the years but this was by far our favorite.
The home is spacious, kept immaculately and in a great/ quiet location. Close to the Boathouse and Frog Pool. Even the bikes that the owner supplies are top notch. Thumbs up on the pellet ice maker on the porch.
BEST two family house in Watercolor - READ WHY BELOW
My family has been staying in Watercolor/Seaside for over a decade and this was the best house we've stayed in thus far. In addition to the greatness of the house, the communication with the owner was prompt and courteous, which isn't always the case. Here are the top five reasons why this house is so great and I recommend it to those reading this review.
1. LOCATION. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran to Watercolor/Seaside, you know that there is lots to do! The location of this house is perfect for the grocery store, Seaside (via the great bike trails), Watercolor, any of the beach accesses, and also very close to what I consider the best two Watercolor pools - the frog pool and the Boathouse pool. And while Camp Watercolor was under renovation while we were there, it is close to that as well.
2. HOUSE CONDITION. The house is essentially in mint condition. I felt like we were in a new house. From the paint to the floors to the furniture, it was all pristine. You can tell the owners meticulously maintain this house and take pride in its condition.
3. 2 MASTER BEDROOMS. This house has two spacious master bedrooms with HUGE closets and bathrooms for a Watercolor house. Many houses skimp on closet and/or bathroom space with two masters. Both bedrooms have porches as well. This is perfect for two families.
4. KITCHEN and WATER. Of course you'll spend much of your time in the kitchen and thank goodness the kitchen flows well, has excellent appliances and a HUGE island that is perfect for meal prep, drink prep and grocery unloading and organizing.
What is Water you ask??? Well, the water in this house is purified and the water pressure on the showers is THE BEST EVER. Nothing is more satisfying after a day on the beach than a nice hot shower with LOTS of water pressure.
And if all those reasons were not enough to make you book already, here is the icing on the cake . . .
5. SONIC ICE MACHINE. Yes, that is right, Sonic ice! We used the ice machine multiple times a day and it never ran out. What a time and money saver! My family is missing the Sonic ice almost as much as the beach.
My family loved this house and it made our vacation that much better. I highly recommend this house.
Wow! BEST review ever! Thank you for being such wonderful guests AND for giving such a thoughtful, well written review! We hope to see you back next year! Enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you again for such a detailed, glowing review! xoxo The Little Beach House
Wonderful Family House
We had a great week at this perfect property. Great location, great for kids and all around beautiful home with absolutely everything you need. All communication and details were easy, leaving us time to relax and enjoy our family. Definitely would recommend!
Dear Chris, Thank you for being such sweet and lovely guests! Thank you for the glowing review.... We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again! xoxo Vicky
Wonderful stay in a beautiful house!
We’ve stayed in more than 15 watercolor rentals over the last 10 years and this place is the cleanest and sharpest we’ve ever experienced. The pictures (which are beautiful) dont fully exhibit the experience. The owners take great care to deliver a wonderful experience to perfection. Many places have missing or hand-me-down amenities (pots, pans, small appliances) but these are all complete and top shelf.
Thank you for being such lovely guests and for writing such a lovely review! We hope to see you back next year!
