CASA GUADALUPE 1 - HOUSE DESCRIPTION: The house has a master bedroom with a Queen bed and a loft above that has an additional matrimonial bed. The loft is open to the downstairs bedroom and the bathroom is shared. There is a covered patio with a sofa bed if you don't mind being in the open air that is also a lovely sitting area. This makes the house ideal for a couple, close friends or a family with 1, 2 or even 3 kids. The open floor plan contains a kitchen, dining area and living room which look out to the lovely garden patio which is a wonderful place to have your meals.

NOTE: For more that three people in this casita we charge an additional $15 a night per person.

In addition the house also includes a large rooftop patio that is partially covered. This mirador is shared with our other two bedroom house Guadalupe 2 and has fabulous views of the city.

CASA GUADALUPE 2 - HOUSE DESCRIPTION: is a lovely two bedroom home. The main part of the house has a full kitchen and combination living room & dining room. The master bedroom has a king size bed and attached bathroom. The second bedroom is on the mezzanine level below and is small but it does have its own bathroom. This room is perfect for a child or an adult that is not to large. This house sleeps three. The rooftop mirador is shared with Guadalupe 1 as described above.

MAID SERVICES: We provide maid service three days a week to wash your clothes, clean the house, make your beds, wash your dishes and take care of the many plants that grace the property. Leticia is also available to cook your breakfast three days a week for 150 pesos for up to 3 people and 200 pesos for 4 or 5 people which you can pay her directly (you buy the groceries and she will cook and serve). She works at the house Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

RENTING BOTH GUADALUPE 1 & 2: It is possible to rent both houses which are connected and sleep a total of 6 people. Renting both houses costs less then renting them individually (see pricing) This of course is dependent on both houses being available.

SAN ANTONIO NEIGHBORHOOD: Our neighborhood is mixed with both local people and ex-patriots who all get along well. It is an exciting place with lots of restaurants, shops, services and the art and language school, The Instituto de Allende. It is also very near to the new fancy hotel The Rosewood and only a 15 minute walk to the Jardin in the center of town.

PRIVACY AND SERVICE: This is a vacation rental and our guests are the sole occupants. I have a house manager, who speaks good English, should you need anything during your stay. Upon renting the property I will provide you with additional information about the house and San Miguel de Allende. I am always available via email or phone to answer any questions you might have to help prepare you for your vacation.

Why Craig Lovell chose Colonia San Antonio

Devi fell in love with the creative people of San Miguel. Her love of architecture and art came alive when she visited the historic town and she decided to make San Miguel a permanent part of her life. She transformed Casa Guadalupe into two wonderful homes using her creative flare and the culture of Mexico in the design.

Beautiful and Fantastic Apartment very Conveniently Located!

  • 5 of 5

We could not be happier with this truly delightful, authentically decorated, and perfect apartment - it is in a lovely quiet neighborhood, great for a couple, single person, or possibly a couple with one child - at least for the upstairs apartment that we stayed in. The kitchen is a great size to cook in, the views from the top deck and even second floor are AMAZING... and Domi... the caretaker is so kind! It is in walking distance to plenty! Pending your walking speed - 5 to 10 minutes to lots of cafes, shopping, etc. ...10 to 15 minutes to Rosewood Hotel, the Jardin, and the town Park for running, walking, or just relaxing. I would stay here over and over - we never ran out of hot water, the master bedroom bed is super comfy - I honestly could live here. Also, to my personal delight, it is a 5 to 10 minute walk from a FANTASTIC yoga studio (Esenvia Yoga)...! It is extremely clean, safe, and peaceful. Honestly, I don't think the photos on this website do it justice - I simply can't say enough about how lovely this place is and from what I could see, the bottom apartment looks just as inviting. I recommend this apartment fully for short and long stays be it for vacation or business--internet works great. I look forward to my next visit which I hope is much sooner than later.

Lovely Gem

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the 1st floor apt and LOVED it!

The authentic Mexican decor and charm was amazing

It was so close to our festival area that we needed to get to everyday

The restaurants and shopping were great and we even went zip lining and horseback riding while there.

We would definitely return to this lovely gem in the future!

Thank you Craig for providing such a lovely place and Dom for being such a great source of information and help!

Charming Casiitas

  • 5 of 5

Have stayed at this lovely house on 2 different occasions and would continue to do so on future visits.

It has all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay and it has 2 patios. The one on the roof has a place to sleep if you wish and beautiful views of San Miguel. Free WiFi , bottled water, lovely kitchens and best of all it is a perfect location. It is only 2 blocks from the Instituto, restaurants and shops and about a 15 minute walk to the main plaza in town. Taxis are everywhere as well.

We are located in the happening neighborhood of San Antonio a few blocks from the Instituto de Allende just off of Orizaba. It is a great neighborhood with restaurants shops, grocery stores, and other services located on Ancha San Antonio two blocks away. It is near the fancy new Rosewood Hotel and only a 15 minute walk to the central square and cathedral known as the Jardin. We are located in the old historical part of the town and it is easy to walk everywhere although taxis are easily available and are very safe.
