About the property

Lakeview Cottage At Rowleys Bay Resort - 3 Bedrooms/2 Baths/Sleeps 8

"The Bungalow" at Rowleys Bay Resort is a retro vacation dream. If your idea of Door County is one steeped in the memories of homey cottages a stones throw from Lake Michigan, you will enjoy the care taken to make all the details of this redesigned 60's cottage memorable. Three bedrooms with distinct personalities are called "The Sun Room," (downstairs), "The Beach Room," and "The Bay Room," (both upstairs). There is a full bath up and another down. All decor was custom designed of handpicked fabrics and accessories to delight the connoisseur of vintage design. The lines of midcentury furniture are evident at a glance in our cabins as well as the resort, where visual cues delight the eye. A smaller retro companion cabin, Kick-Back Cabin, is next door for overflow or a smaller group. All guests have access to the resort's many amenities:

Wonderful Features of Rowleys Bay Resort

Door County’s Affordable Waterfront Resort

Rowleys Bay Resort offers the best of both worlds—a waterfront destination with affordable lodging options. Whether you prefer a traditional room, suite, cottage or vacation home, all are just steps away from 700 feet of shoreline. As the largest waterfront resort in Door County, we accommodate and cater to the needs of a wide range of groups. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and friendly. With our restaurant, bakery, pub, pool, library, game room, fitness room, banquet hall and meeting rooms all under one roof, families and groups feel safe and connected. Our rustic Stuga, nestled under cedars in front of the resort, is perfect for private parties and events.

100 Acres of Solitude on a Pristine Bay

Rowleys Bay Resort is situated on 100 secluded acres dominating a pristine, undeveloped bay on Lake Michigan. Think of our unique, peaceful setting as a cul-de-sac without noisy through-traffic and bumper-to-bumper people. Be as one with nature as you enjoy four-season bird watching on our never frozen bay and the unique Mink River Estuary. Nature’s light show on the water at sunrise and sunset come at no extra charge!

Active Sports Access at Your Door

If you have a passion for sports, you have to come to Rowleys Bay Resort. From canoeing and kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding and fishing, you won’t find a better place in Door County for aqua adventures. The marina and DNR launch are your gateway and quick getaway to Lake Michigan and the Mink River. Sand Bay beach, accessible from our trails, is a great place for a summer dip. Kayak rentals and tours, as well as charter fishing boats, are available dockside. Landlubbers can walk, run or mountain bike on our 5-mile trail system. Featured attractions at Rowleys Bay Resort include Door County’s only canopy zip-line and off-road Segway tours through our expansive property.

All-You-Can-Eat Restaurant Offerings

In addition to an all-day menu, Rowleys Bay Restaurant features Door County’s longest buffet and salad bar, providing you with variety, flexibility and tremendous dining value. On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights the generous buffet includes the area’s only all-you-can-eat fish boil, complete with an historical reenactment of the area’s namesake Peter Rowley. The restaurant’s famous Sunday Brunch buffet includes chef-carved prime rib and other choice meats, as well as pecan rolls and a variety of scrumptious treats from Grandma’s Swedish Bakery. Our retro-inspired Rowley’s Pub offers our own signature vacation drinks and cocktails, plus a selection of beer and wine, all at prices you won’t believe.

Historic Swedish Scratch Bakery

For more than 40 years, Grandma’s Swedish Bakery has been tantalizing the taste buds of Door County visitors and natives with homemade pastries, decadent sweet rolls and other from-scratch bakery items. Family recipes have been handed down from generation to generation, ensuring that you will receive the same authentic Swedish delights originally baked by Grandma. Specialties include our ½-pound pecan and cinnamon rolls and Door County’s only from-scratch bagels.
