One of the most important things when traveling is having a clean, comfortable and convenient home-base and the cottage offers all three. The house is thoughtfully furnished and stocked with things needed to make our guest's vacations easy and relaxing while being within walking distance of downtown, the University, the neighborhood coffee shop and several parks. Further, an empty locking garage is available for guests to store their bikes, canoe, kayaks, etc.
Special attention has been paid to make the home family-friendly if you are traveling with kids; we want the house to have everything you need so you can bring just the essentials. A Pack and Play, high chair, toys, a forehead thermometer, family games and the ability to do laundry will go a long way toward making your vacation easy and relaxing so you can focus on having the best possible trip.
The cottage is centrally located and is close to everything. It is an easy 1.1 mile walk along tree-shaded sidewalks to downtown where there are dozens of wonderful restaurants and shops to explore. If you walk northeast 1.1 miles from the cottage, you can visit the University of Montana and all the cultural and sporting events it has to offer.
Caffe Dolce is the neighborhood restaurant 5 blocks from the cottage that offers coffee, pastries, meals and gelato. It is a delicious cafe a lovely walk away.
Lion's Park is 4 blocks away and offers play equipment, swings, picnic area and a splash deck which runs in the summer. One block north is Rose Park which offers 2 blocks of open space.
To acquaint yourself with the cottage, please review the pictures and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We want you to have a fantastic trip to Missoula and the cottage provides a perfect home-base for a relaxing and happy vacation.
My husband and I have lived in Montana for 20 years and we enjoy sharing what Missoula has to offer with out-of-town visitors. We purchased the cottage specifically for a vacation rental in the family-friendly Lewis and Clark / Rose Park neighborhoods, which is where we live.
We have had great experiences with all our guests and work hard to make sure the cottage is perfect. We do not charge a cleaning fee because our guests leave the house in good shape and we trust that will continue. Please read our reviews and do not hesitate to contact us any time if you need anything.
Stacey Bliss purchased this cottage in 2013
We have traveled quite a bit with our kids so we are familiar with what makes a good home-base when vacationing. We have stocked and furnished the cottage with families in mind, but it is comfortable for anyone. We know that a convenient, easy and comfortable place to stay helps make a great trip.
The description of the Brick Cottage on the VRBO site and the customer reviews were spot on! No need to re-state the same positive statements, but here are a few comments anyway.
The Brick Cottage was cozy and very conveniently located in Missoula. While the kitchen is on the small side, it had everything we needed, even for baking muffins.
Stacey was most helpful prior to our arrival and responsive while we were there. One of the days of our stay, it snowed 6+ inches. When we returned early that evening we were very pleasantly surprised that she had cleared the sidewalks and driveway of all the snow. Just an example of what a great host Stacey was.
We nave no reservations about staying at the Brick Cottage on future visits to Missoula.
Everything was great. The location is very convenient to the downtown area and the University. The house was very clean and had everything we needed (plus more) to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Recommend highly!!
Cottage was as described, clean and perfect for our needs. Close to UM and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Had no problems. Thanks Stacey for your attention to detail. Great price too!
We liked how it was a quick drive to everything we wanted. Good extras for the kids and Stacey was wonderful throughout the process. We were without need of anything as the house was well stocked. No issues with noisy neighbors or anything like that. Everything was clean and tidy.
This house appears tiny but it packs a punch. There was nothing forgotten here. The perfect size for a busy family who needs a place to rest their heads, shower and eat while enjoying all Montana has to offer. Whenever I needed something it was there. I was able to cook and do laundry and even craft a little early one morning. Stacey was very thoughtful when planning this home. I loved that there was even an actual coffee scoop measure. Sounds silly, but I love my coffee and it's truly the little things that make a difference. Beds were comfortable and location was perfect. You could easily get anywhere you needed. Straight down the street was a wonderful water park for our kids, extremely inexpensive and fun! I appreciated have a garage to lock up our trailer too. We forgot the hitch lock and this allowed us to lock it away safely. Thank you for all the wonderful conveniences Stacey. If it was available for Family Weekend at UM we'd have rented again!
Our stay at The Brick Cottage was very comfortable and cozy! It was especially convenient to the University of Montana for quick errands to and from the University while we moved our son into his dorm. All the luxuries of home were made available to us at this lovely and super clean cottage. This is our first trip to Montana and we will be back throughout the years to see my son play football. Go Griz! Our stay at The Brick Cottage will be one of many!
