Why Shelley chose Buzzards Bay

My grandmother has always had a keen eye for real estate. When this place became available she immediately fell in love and put in an offer the same day. Many years later, our family was able to purchase this gorgeous piece of property from her and began to raise our children there. It was here that we the learned the value of sweat equity and updated this wonderful home to its current state.

Unfortunately, a few years back, our career paths took us out of state. Despite the distance, we decided to keep the house and find a way for it to support itself until one day, when we return to Cape Cod and can call it our home again.

It is our hope that you will enjoy our home and create wonderful memories for yourselves.

Beautiful property for the perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a weekend in late September. The property is beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the view of the bay and the quite neighborhood with easy access to all the necessary amenities.

Convenient location

  • 4 of 5

The beds were comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms. The view is wonderful. Couldn't reach the water with the kayaks. But we had plenty to do without it.

The picture are a little deceiving of what the property really looks like.

We had a great time! Nice house over all. A lot of spiders in the house though. Wish it had water access of some kind. No way to get to the water at all.

Beautiful View

  • 4 of 5

We rented this property for the weekend as we were heading down to the cape for a wedding and wanted to bring our dog along. The location was great and it had a nice fenced in spot that my dog loved. The view of the lake was beautiful and it was great to relax on the large deck. The house was tucked back in a neighborhood which was fine for us, but if you're looking for a walkable location to shops this is not the place. It was an easy drive to anywhere we wanted to go though, so we loved it!

One thing that did not go as planned was that the AC units were not installed upon our arrival. We were there on the last weekend of May which is hit or miss, but it was really hot and muggy. The owners told us we could install them if we wanted, but we didn't really have the time or energy to do so. We opened up the windows and the lake breeze cooled it down a bit and the rest of the weekend was cool so we were ok, but definitely frustrating upon arriving late on a Friday night after a long drive.

Overall, I would recommend this property to any dog lovers that want a great view!

Owner's Response: On Cape Cod, in the month of May, the temperature on average has 19 days ranging between 60-69 degrees & 5 days that are in the 70's. Since the house is situated on a salt water bay, all of our renters have enjoyed the infamous Cape Cod breezes and found them to be more than adequate for that time of year.

Great location and a lovely home!

My family enjoyed this spacious home. The house has many amenities of home and the owners make sure you have everything you need. We woke up the the bay every morning while having coffee on the deck.
