About Betsy St. Germain

For over 20 years, we have spent one or more weeks each summer in Eastham, visiting friends and enjoying the natural beauty of Cape Cod. In those few weeks each summer, we.. walked the beaches at sunrise and sunset; enjoyed campfires on Coast Guard Beach; held Kids Night Out at the Pizza Barn; planned evenings out in Provincetown; biked the Cape Cod Rail Trail; enjoyed Lobster Night with friends and created many more traditions. It has always been a special vacation for our family, and even now our grown-up children still hold out a week to come with us!

We live along the coast of Maine and we are very excited about our Cape Cod cottage so close to Coast Guard Beach!

What is important to you? Insulated coffee carafe, special nooks for quiet time, wildlife and waves, outdoor fun, cozy cafes? All here, perfectly thought out for restful, energizing, delightful days and starlight nights. Simplicity, thoughtfulness, and a tide chart on the fridge---these hosts are 5 star!

Wonderful cottage; wonderful location.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated and equipped. In a fantastic location, close to both the Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach. A lovely deck, quiet, with woods behind the house. Could not have been better. We'd love to go again.

A Perfect Fall Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We are so appreciative to have had the privilege of staying in this welcoming cottage. Here we found the perfect combination of modern amenities balanced with a cozy, coastal cottage atmosphere. It's abundantly clear, as soon as you step into this cottage, that much thought has been given to what the guest may possibly need or want. Being late October, we found the mild New England weather was ideal for taking advantage of the impeccable bike trails in this area, while using the two bikes included with this rental. We were able to enjoy a much more laid back pace with less tourists this time of year. We leisurely biked to Nauset Beach and then made our way to Coast Guard Beach, all the while taking in the striking fall foliage and landscape. We also took a day to drive to Provincetown and found it so easy to navigate these side streets and find parking this time of year. We enjoyed not only the beaches and unique dunes in this area but also took in some history by visiting the Pilgrim Monument and Museum. We know there is still so much we haven't seen and would definitely come back. October/Fall is not only the peak foliage season in New England but also the ideal time to relax and explore Cape Cod. What a perfect fall getaway!

Owner's Response: Phil and I are thrilled you took advantage of time off in late October to enjoy Eastham and the outer Cape...such a quintessential autumn get away! Each town offers very unique nature trails and activities, restaurants and shops. Glad you used the bike trails, as they connect you so easily to area towns/villages. We hope you come explore again next fall! Thank you!

Cape cod retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful cottage. It looks just as depicted in the pictures and the description is accurate. In addition to the late September/early October quiet--my favorite time to visit Cape Cod--the cottage was so clean and welcoming. These are owners who want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay. Their hospitality is evident even though they were not there. Drawers and closets were empty, space is comfortably and beautifully furnished. The back deck is great for enjoying nature and the enclosed front porch IS perfect for morning coffee or evening quiet. The kitchen has plenty of plates, glasses, cups, flatware and cooking items. I cooked while there and felt quite at home. I had some trepidation about the outdoor shower (which I would at any time of year!) and was surprised at how much I enjoyed showering with a view (albeit nearsighted) of the sky and trees.

the beach, stores, tourist attractions, and neighboring towns were easily accessible--this quiet place is not far from Rte.6.

I would come back in a heartbeat.

Owner's Response: Thank you Judy for commenting on your recent stay! We love our cottage too, and enjoy it even more so in the "off season". To us, the Eastham quietness of its bike paths, roads and beaches, the change in seasonal colors, temperatures and weather, plus the opportunity to just relax and re-energize, is found in those "off" months. We love it! And we still take a dip in the ponds and occasionally, the ocean! Eastham Windmill Days, Wellfleet Oyster Fest, and the swim in P-Town, are fun events to participate in on weekends. Thank you for staying in our cottage, we are so glad you took advantage of the outdoor shower! See you next fall! Betsy and Phil

Everything we hoped for!

Lovely cottage that lives up to the reviews! It's adorable, clean and fresh, well-equipped, and perfectly located for access to National Seashore beaches. My family (3 young adults in their 20s) loved it and thanked me several times for finding such a great place. I felt very lucky! Betsy is helpful and responsive as needed. Would definitely re-book.
