About The Owner

In 1860, a way station, hotel, and freight depot were built near the site of the present hotel to serve freighters traveling over Tincup Pass, bound for the mines of Ashcroft and Aspen; and over the Altman Pass toward Gunnison County.

Today Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort is embarking on a new chapter in its long history. In 2007, the resort was purchased by its current owners, who undertook a massive renovation and expansion of this historic property. All rooms were beautifully renovated and stunning log cabins were built by the creek. A stunning new pavilion accommodates corporate and group functions. The same “old West” Colorado “can do” attitude still prevails in our attentive staff and management, who await the opportunity to share with you the natural beauty and unmatched recreational opportunities afforded at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort.

Why The Owner chose South Central

Our exquisite Colorado-style log cabins offer the privacy of a home with the convenience of hotel service and amenities. The resort’s setting is idyllic and natural, making it truly feel like a mountain getaway.

Each summer between May & August over 200,000 people come to go whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River. Horseback riding is just minutes from the resort. Try a zipline or Aerial Park Tour at one of the nearby parks. The majority of the are is National Forest so the land is public making it great for Jeeping, dirt biking or ATVing.

After enjoying a day exploring the Colorado outdoors, its relaxing to come back to the Resort, engage in a spa treatment and/or and soak in the natural waters found at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort.
