Completely remodeled one bedroom with 9 foot ceilings and a wonderful new queen bed. The bath has a giant tub for relaxing baths but overall the bathroom is small. New whisper quiet high efficient A/C & Central Heat. New LED recessed lighting with dimmers, fresh low natural VOC interior designer paint, new carpet, vinyl flooring, granite counter top and kitchen sink. All amenities including cookware and dishes,linens were purchased in January 2014. High speed wireless internet; HD 32 inch LED TV and cable. Stackable Washer and Dryer. The stone patio offers relaxing evenings shaded by a giant pecan and landscaped yard. If location is important look no farther.

About the owner: Our passion is to provide an outstanding property where our guests will continue to come back year after year. We have a large family with 11 grandchildren and more to come so having a home large enough for families to be able to come to Austin and share a home with friends is important for us. We are serious organic gardeners so our home and landscape is never treated with pesticides. This property was carefully remodeled to make your stay as comfortable as possible, yet reasonable in price. You will be impressed with the wonderful decor and amenities.

The Heart of North Austin is centered around Burnet Road. An older location which is finding favor with new families and older seniors. The Pillow Blue Ribbon Elementary is located two blocks away with a wonderful playground for grandchildren. Or take a walk down to a local restaurant. Jump in the car for a quick trip to The Domain, a shopping experience you will not want to miss during your visit.

An accessory apartment with a stone patio, organic landscaped shaded yard. Super location but until you experience getting around in Austin, this location will save you time by having everything close by. Traffic is a problem in Austin so choose your location wisely.

  • You will love the Giant size bath tub for wonderful relaxing baths. The bath is 5 foot wide and 9 foot long so it is small, but has everything you need. Plenty of towels, hand and wash cloths including owner provided make up removal towelets. We supply all paper goods for the apartment.

Cozy, Clean, and Comfortable

I spent a month in Austin to be close to my daughter and family. This place was perfect for me! The photos on the website are not deceiving. It is just as appealing and cozy as the photos show. It was clean and bright, and unlike other properties I've rented, paper products, laundry detergent, and other essentials were even included. The location is convenient to so many restaurants, shops, and other attractions, and the owner was accommodating and available at all times. I would definitely like to stay there again.

Perfect Place with Perfect Owners

When my girlfriend and I arrived at our original AirBnB home reservation in Austin and it was not-as-advertised, we began to panic. We hurriedly reached out to hosts on several sites hoping to find someone who could accommodate us at the last minute. Not only did Bob respond quickly, but he made our transition to his property seamless. I cannot overstate how helpful and accommodating Bob was during our stay in Austin. I highly recommend him and his property to anyone looking for a well-maintained, affordable, friendly stay in Austin.

Our favorite place to stay in Austin

We visit our children in Austin 2-3 times/year. We prefer this property to a variety of accommodations we have used throughout the years. It is a gem; exceptionally clean, quiet, comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay. The location can't be beat with easy access to highways, restaurants, shopping, movie theatres...

Bob is a great host, available for any questions and makes your stay special. We are disappointed when his property is already booked and we attempt to modify our travel dates to be able to stay at this property. We look forward to our future stays at this exceptional property.

Home Away from Home!

From beginning to end our experience with Bob and this home was perfect. Bob was super helpful in communicating and accommodating our personal needs. The home was very clean, comfortable and a perfect location to get around town quickly. We especially loved the Antique "Mall" within walking distance. We went downtown easily, enjoyed meals at the historic Hoffbrau Steakhouse and The Green Chile, walked thru the historic Driscoll Hotel, and saw The Monkees at the Paramount Theatre. The house had all of the equipment and little necessities we needed to be "at home" for a week:) If we ever get back to Austin and need a place to stay...this is it!

clean and well stocked, great for longer stay

I stayed here for 2 months during a travel nursing assignment. Bob was always available. The apartment had everything from linens to kitchen appliances that I would have in my own apartment. The location is very close to major highways which made it easy to get around. About a 15-20 min drive downtown. 5 min or less to The Domain. There is a small backyard with a table and chairs if you wanted to spend some time outside with friends. There is parking in the driveway and a separate, fenced entrance to the apartment. It is connected by walls to the rest of the house but not with any doors/windows- I never had an issue hearing anyone in the main house.

Owner's Response: Natalie, we are so lucky to have traveling nurses stay with us. They always take care of the property and love the peace and quiet of the location. They also, like you realize how easy it is to get around and how many places to eat and shop with the Domain and Arboretum less that a mile and half away. Our travelers are always surprised at how fully equipped the kitchen is for a quick snack or full size cooked meal. They also love how the apartment has all of the supplies like soaps for bath, kitchen, laundry, paper products and bath tissue. Just bring your suitcase because if you stay with us once, you will come back home again and again.

wonderful stay

we stayed at this lovely unit for nearly 3weeks. it was perfect, really comfortable , had everything we wanted/needed , lovely outside area, really comfortable bed!! lovely shower, it was perfect. when we locked ourselves out!! duh, the landlord was there immediately to let us back in, and even brought home-grown goods, we will definitely stay there again.. it has a gas station/shop nearby , a bar, a dining restaurant, all within walking distance. a bus stop on the corner.we visited all the local areas and sights .
