My sweetie gave this weekend to me as birthday gift and was able to spend a delightful weekend with my precious friend. SO SO happy I found this cabin!!! Y'all won't believe it!!! The attention to detail of things to make your time there awesome is unbelievable ...The Prescotts did so many special things to help our time at this cabin be wonderful!!! It is a darling place...we spent so much time down by the water ...where you will find a fire pit and chairs...again the special details!! we enjoyed as much time on the back porch, which is a wonderful size and is screened it ...has nice rocking chairs a table and a awesome porch swing...the kitchen has a window that you can pass yummies to those on the porch from the kitchen where there is a serving area for everyone to enjoy their meals on the porch...there are even aprons for the cooks in the kitchen and nice appliances to prepare meals on ... the living room is very inviting and has the bestest couch :D!!! There were fresh flowers to greet us and the beds were made and very comfortable!!! You can tell how important that the guests to the cabin are to The Prescotts...and how much it means to them that their guests enjoy their visit to the cabin...they came by to meet us and it was wonderful to put a face with the person sending all the sweet informative messages I had been getting ...they came by several times to meet us and missed us but kept trying til they caught us at "home"...we did alot of sight seeing BUT always were so glad to get back to this sweet little cabin and it's homey enviroment!!! If you are looking for a perfect get away or a place to gather the family...this place is perfect to build new and precious memories!!!
I have rented many places but Sharon is the absolute BEST! I have never rented a place where the owner has been so thoughtful and considerate! She was helpful with places to visit on our stay also! Now the cabin...wow! The view is just so awesome! Thanks to Sharon I was able to fly fish every morning and every afternoon. I could see the trout but never caught any but that was ok. It was just the relaxation I needed. The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. We loved it so much! At first I was a little upset about the road noise because even though it's a country road it is busy but the creek finally took over and drowned out the noise....no problem. The cabin was very clean, smelled wonderful and the bed was awesome. Everything and I mean everything is provided for you. The Ingles at Canton is awesome for groceries and the little country store down the road is wonderful. My husband was in a wheelchair two months ago battling cancer so when God blessed us with killing the cancer and he was able to walk again we chose this place for a celebration...it was sooo perfect. Thank you Sharon for making our wishes come true! God is awesome!
This cabin had everything we were looking for including rockers, table, and a porch swing overlooking the river, excellent mattresses and linens, a large walk in shower, well stocked kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi. The owner is easy to work with and truly did everything she could to make our trip go well. The cabin is located right on Hwy 276, but that turned out to be advantage for us as we were able to easily travel to Waynesville and Asheville without having to navigate curvy/switchback mountain roads all the time. We spent most of our time on the back porch or down at the river where it is private and feels secluded. We hope to come back again soon. Loved it.
We had a terrific stay at this cabin. It is centrally located to so many activities. Sharon was such a super host, we cannot say enough kind things in this small space. We arrived late the first night (after 11 p.m.) and she had emailed me and told me a storm had knocked the power out. But she went by and made sure we had electricity and even left all the lights on for us so it was so much easier to find in the dark! The cabin is immaculate and has every convenience - even a crock pot, which were able to use.
Location is key and the river is literally right there with the soothing water sounds. We even saw a Great Blue Heron fishing in the stream. Well appointed interior and AC, if you need it. We would definitely come back and want to thank Sharon again for her hospitality and ease in making our vacation stay a success.
We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Down by the Creek. The cabin was more than we could have ever expected. The children enjoyed playing in the creek out back, and my husband and I enjoyed relaxing to the sound of rippling water. The owner was amazing to work with. We would love to stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone!
Just returned after enjoying a week in the mountains. The cabin is so comfy and warm. Love the bear theme! The porch and river is wonderful. It is so convenient to town and yet still feels private nestled under the trees. Very nice!
On the outskirts of historical Waynesville, Mast General Store. Located in Canton...only minutes to the Imperial Hotel Dining, Antique shops, Asheville and Biltmore. A must see is Mt. Pisgah Restaurant. Enjoy fishing and swimming in river on property. Visit the Stompin' Grounds in Maggie Valley. Only 8.9 miles from Lake Logan.
