Live like a DuPont!

  • 4 of 5

This large home is in a truly lovely setting of rolling hills, horse farms and roads lined with gorgeous stone walls.

While this is an old house, the owners are doing a very nice job with upgrades, and we would certainly choose it again.

Beautiful setting, comfortable home, lovely and interesting area!

  • 5 of 5

My three friends and I loved this home. The bucolic setting is a pleasure. We especially loved seeing the horses in their pasture just across the lane. The home is cozy, roomy and comfortable. We had easy access to nearby Longwood Gardens and the various duPont estates/museums. A special treat was our discovery of the Phillips Mushroom Museum and shop. We lived traveling the back roads and byways of the area. Altogether a lovely time!

We loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I, with spouses, recently stayed 4 nights at Fox Fodder Farm in north Wilmington. We were all absolutely delighted with the experience. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly renovated and up-to-date while the remaining rooms retain a museum quality charm that makes them enjoyable to just sit in when nothing else was going on. All rooms are spacious and we had no problem accommodating 11 for lunch. The location feels secluded but was convenient to all the places we wanted or needed to go. Our trip to Wilmington was enjoyable and I can truly say staying at Fox Fodder Farm had as much to do with the success of the trip as anything else.

Beautiful home, beautiful setting!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us recently traveled to Wilmington for a girls trip and stayed in this wonderful cottage. It felt as though we belonged in England! We couldn't believe how beautiful it was and how spacious! The décor was amazing inside and out, with the screened-in porch being the most used room of all--a great place to end the day over a glass of wine and lots of laughter. There's so much to see and do in Wilmington and nearby Philadelphia. We only wish we had planned to stay longer so we could've enjoyed the cottage even more!

Everything I'd dreamed and more

  • 5 of 5

What an amazingly beautiful, peaceful home. Perfect for our annual girls' group get together. The home was stunning: spacious, multiple gathering spaces, laid back ... with every room detailed with simplicity and care. I had a lump in my throat as I left. So much good energy in this place. Owners Mary and Chris were the perfect blend of caring and available, but never intruding (which I wish they had -- they were so delightful!). For whatever reason you reserve this home, you will find it top shelf in every way. I hope to return many times. Thank you, Fox Fodder Farm, for one of the most memorable weeks of my life.
