There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room area and both bedrooms have queen beds, to comfortably accommodate 6 guests. The remodeled baths are en-suite and spacious even with views. This unit is beautifully appointed with new furnishings, beds, flooring and kitchen supplies. You will likely spend most of your time on the roomy lanai with sweeping views of the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Kahana is a great area just far enough from the busy and expensive resort areas of Kapalua and Kaanapali. The area of Kahana is situated where it receives a constant trade wind making a/c and heat not needed. The historic whaling town of Lahaina is just 4 miles away with great shopping, dining, fine art and entertainment. This is also the place where you can board a boat for whale watching, sunset cruises or ferry to the island of Lanai.

SEAWALL/BEACH REVETMENT CONSTRUCTION AUGUST - FEBRUARY 2019!
Many of the properties on West Maui are experiencing major beach erosion, including Kannapali Beach and other west facing beaches.
Hololani is undergoing a 7 million dollar project on our beach area in hopes a beach will return to us and throughout the regional beaches. Our new revetment will encourage beach formation better than using sandbags. Our revetment is a modern design, extending protection well below sea level and backed up by steel sheet piles driven deep into the ground. The work schedule will be Mon. - Fri. 8:00am - 5:00pm. (not weekends) All efforts are being made to try and limit any inconvenience but the construction is heavy and sometimes noisy work. The Pile Driving should be completed by the end of October. That is said to be the noisiest part of the project. We will be offering this special pricing during this timeframe! ($ 30 a night rate reduction)
If you are touring during the day of visiting neighboring beaches - this likely won't be an issue.
HOA Update 12/5/18
We also wanted to let you know the pool area, including the grills, will be closed for approximately 4 weeks beginning January 2, 2019. Extra grills will be placed elsewhere on the property for guest use. While the timing of the closure isn't ideal and wasn't planned, it will allow not only for the replacement of the tiles that were removed during the construction, but will allow us to replace all paver tiles on the makai side of the buildings. We think the long term benefits of that are significant even as we regret the short term impact.
