You may want to take in the Iola Winter Carnival in February, Iola Car Show (one of the largest in the US) in July,the MREA Energy Fair in June, the Rising Star Mill Art Show in May, the Hidden Studios Art Tour featuring 9 artist studios the first weekend in October when the fall color is spectacular. There is so much to do with Waupaca and Stevens Point 20ish miles away in either direction that you may need to stay an extra week just to relax and rejuvinate where the quiet is really quiet and the stars are really bright.
