We spent a week at the Castle Rock Cabin and it was fantastic! Amazing setting, great space and everything we needed! Whitewater rafting and zip line fun are just down the street, and we even went to Yellowstone for the day. We really savored every moment we had and the cabin made it all the more fun!
Good location for anyone interested in Fly Fishing, hiking or wanting a base for visiting Yellowstone. Cabin was good, but not really as good as it was made out to be or looked on the website. This wasn't just my impression; friends who visited for the first week thought exactly the same. Facilities were fairly good but there are no wardrobes for storing your clothing during your stay: this seemed a little strange being somewhere for a fortnight and having to live out of a suitcase. I had to repair the smoke alarms in the bedroom and the hallway as they had been left dangling from the ceiling with spent batteries which had not been changed. I also had to do a lot of tree surgery to clear the "Line of Sight" for the satellite TV and realign the dish, which had obviously not been working for some time: good job I knew what I was doing, plus I wanted to seen Wimbledon and some of the Soccer World Cup. Gallatin Valley is a superb location for a holiday, we had some really good Fly Fishing along the Gallatin and also on the Madison, Gardner and Gibbon rivers in Yellowstone. Great dinner at Stacy's in Gallatin Gateway: a must visit venue, and very reasonably priced. Very enjoyable holiday at a great location.
