About the property

2 Bedrooms & 1 3/4 Baths - Sleeps 2-6 - Gorgeous View, Steps From Beach

Enjoy a retreat from everyday life in a beautiful, NW cedar home featuring a wall of windows & decks facing the Hood Canal. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway for two or for a family getaway.

Our comfy, updated home features a brand new kitchen with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, an open concept living/dining area with high ceilings, a wet bar and pellet stove. Relax and enjoy the view or BBQ on the spacious deck. The bedroom on the main floor features king-size bed, in mid-August 2015 we added a queen bed to the and the large upstairs loft bedroom and it now features a queen bed and a full sized futon sleeper. A second full sized futon sleeper sofa is in the living room downstairs. The newly renovated bathrooms include walk-in showers and granite vanities and there's a jetted soaking tub upstairs. There's also an outdoor shower in the back and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. All linens are provided.

You’ll be steps away from 200 feet of shared beachfront. There are buoys to tie up to, if you want to bring your boat. You can swim out to our raft in the summer, relax on a floatie, or read a book in a deck chair. There is a community fire pit for an evening campfire as you watch the sun go down and maybe roast a marshmallow or two.

Belfair is a great home base for exploring the south end of Hood Canal. If you golf, you can play any of four championship golf courses (all within 10 miles). You can visit the Alderbrook Resort by boat or car for a meal or spa treatment. Other things to do include walking the three mile path through the Theler Wetlands which is filled with eco-discoveries for people of all ages, visiting the Saturday Farmer’s Market, or bringing your bikes and riding through the back roads to Belfair State Park. You can also purchase a license and harvest shellfish at Belfair State Park. There are miles and miles of dirt bike/ATV trails accessible within 1/4 mile of the Cabin in the Tahuya Forest. There are many of things to do as you rest and relax.

About Jaymi Garvett

This is the first I purchased through my company, JLG Properties, LLC to operate as a vacation rental. Our family enjoys our home for rest and relaxation. It's a short ride from our home in King County and a respite from our busy worlds, for creating memories and just having fun playing together at Hood Canal. Our Property Managers, Beth and Phil Koenig, live across and own and manage 2 other homes on our street. They have lived on Wagon Wheel Road for 20 years and love the changing seasons and life on Hood Canal. They own a residential construction company and our guests reap the benefits of their professional and TLC in the recent remodel and decorating of our Comfy Hood Canal Home. Beth and Phil help us keep our home in wonderful condition and we all genuinely hope you will love our piece of heaven on the Hood Canal as much as we do!

This cozy little cabin was a great get-away!

We loved the quite neighborhood and close proximity to the beach. The pellet stove gave some great ambiance and made everything very cozy. Thanks for the great vacation!

Relaxing Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The home was easily able to house our two children and two small dogs for a relaxing long weekend stay. It's proximity to the beach front down the street and Belfair down the road gave us the best of both worlds when it came to amenities. It can't be understated what a wonderful host Jaymi was during our stay. Thank you, Jaymi!

Unbelievably Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

It was beautiful inside and outside this vacation home. It had all the comforts of home, even the wine opener. We didn't have to go out to purchase anything other than food.We had such a wonderful time just enjoying the moment. The location is absolutely beautiful and extremely peaceful. The neighbors were all friendly. The Labador from across the street even stopped in for a pleasant visit. This treasure spot was truly the highlight of a much needed vacation with an old friend and family member. We will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your comfy hood canal home.

Quiet, cozy and comfy. Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Perfect, perfect and perfect. This place is cozy, quiet and updated nicely. It was just my wife and I doing some exploring and it was great to come home to a very comfortable place. It sits on a dead end street. The view from the house to the private beach is great. We went to the beach, which had chairs to sit and gaze out to the water and let your mind go numb. The town is only 3 miles away and has plenty of restaurants to chose from and a couple supermarkets. The front deck was perfect to sit and read and watch the day transition into the evening. Lots of stars to gaze at. The location is central to other towns and ports. The manager (Beth) lives across the street and very helpful for information on what is around and if we needed anything in regards to the house. If you are looking quiet, cozy place to relax and explore this is the place.

Beautiful, well-maintained home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The A-frame house has a very nice kitchen and living area, with upscale furnishings. The house is nearly at the end of a secluded little drive (i.e. almost at the shore of the Hood Canal). The homes on this drive make up an HOA which has sole access to the grassy area and beach, complete with chairs and a floating dock to swim out to. Despite the quiet location, you are only a five minute drive from the town of Belfair in case you need to run to the store or some such. The couple that manages the house live in the next house and are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. Literally the only gripe I can think of came from one our daughters -- that the fold out bed has a hard mattress. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this house.
