The apartment has been completely renovated and refurbished, and every detail has been carefully considered to make your stay even more enjoyable. The exposed wooden beams on the ceiling and parquet floor transform the apartment into a warm, relaxing and bright place. It can accommodate up to four people. A large living room with an original fresco painting, a finely furnished kitchen, with dishwasher, wash machine, cooking stove, fridge/freezer, moka, American coffee maker, kettle, cutlery, glasses and plates. Two comfortable bedrooms: double bed and wardrobe in each room. Two bathrooms with showers. The apartment comes supplied with consumptions, water, linen, towels, air conditioning (only in one room), heating, wireless Internet connection, TV, iron, ironing board, hair-dryer.
You will appreciate and enjoy a secluded courtyard in the picturesque quarter of San Frediano, the apartment is unusually peaceful for its location.
Very quiet and cozy apartment. Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, Piazza Signoria and Duomo are all within ten minutes walking distance.
The apartment is clean and comfortable and well appointed.
Some reviews expressed concerns about the stairs, but we did not have any problems with them. We found them typical for Europe. We range in age from 53 to 63.
Washing machine and clothes drying rack very helpful. All the dishes you need if you cook in the apartment. Hair dryer a convenient touch. Bed very comfortable.
Location was great. Easy access for walking all over Florence and you get a nice neighborhood feel.
Working with Andrea and Stephania was easy.
I don't like adding this to the review, but providing full disclosure there is some neighborhood noise from the main bedroom, regardless of whether the windows are open or closed. The weekday noise ends around 10 pm. The weekend noise was solid until about 2 am. We probably should have moved into the other bedroom, but we chose not to. Andrea and Stephania have no control over this and it is part of the neighborhood experience.
I have nothing but compliments for the apartment, Andrea and Stephania.
Very well maintained and immaculate. The apartment is very comfortable. Nice modern although small bathrooms. The location is outstanding just off the Piazza della Passera. Close to all Oltarno attractions and short walk across the Ponte Vecchio or Trinita bridges to other Florence attractions. Very nice, full service grocery about a 5 min walk. Lots of good nearby restaurants as well. For music/ opera fans, Opera at St Marks is a stones throw away and not to be missed. The only downside is the walk up 43 steps to the apartment.
We had a wonderful stay at the apartment! The accommodations and location were great. It is located on a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood in Florence. Conveniently located and easy to walk to everything.
I was lucky enough to stay at this apartment for four nights in June 2017.
Travelling with my parents (late 60s) who were visiting from Australia, this apartment was the perfect location for us and had everything we needed.
In the lead up to the stay, and whilst we were there, dealing with Andrea and Stefania was super easy, and fast.. they were fantastic hosts!
The apartment location is great.. for first timers or experienced Fiorentino, the location has a lot to offer. Its quiet, has all of the things you need close by, and for those exploring Florence it makes a great home base... To top it off, there are some great food/coffee/gelato options nearby. (Ditta Artiginianale for a flat white in Florence!)
The apartment itself is well appointed... Kitchen, washing machine, Air Con in one bedroom and a fan in the other, solid internet, and two very comfortable queen sized beds.
The stairs to the apartment were a slight challenge for my parents, but they managed them without too much trouble. We also had a string of hot days which meant we were very definitely using the A/C and fan to the greatest extent of its capability... but it was all manageable.
I would highly recommend this apartment for those thinking of staying in Florence.
Our stay in Florence was incredible. Andrea and Stefania were top notch hosts, and the apartment was fantastic. There was plenty of room for our party of four, and even though there was only A/C in one of the bedrooms, the fan that was provided kept all of us comfortable during the day, and at night.
The location was perfect, and was outside of the city center just enough to be calm during the evenings. We walked every where, and the only time we needed a cab was to the airport, which Stefania so kindly arranged for us. If this space is available, I wouldnt hesitate to jump on it, it will only add to your amazing stay in Florence.
Ciao!
Stayed four nights with my two teenage daughters. Perfect location across the Ponte Vecchio on the "quiet" side of the river. Three-minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, but totally quiet and serene. The apartment is one a narrow street the most cars cannot drive on, which makes it quieter than most streets. Apartment and bathrooms are new (remodeled) and very clean. Two queen size beds were comfortable (firm mattresses, thank goodness). Plenty of cafe's, restaurants, and shops within 2-minute walk.
Overlooking a secluded courtyard in the picturesque quarter of San Frediano, the apartment is unusually peaceful for its location. Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, Piazza Signoria and Duomo are all within ten minutes walking distance. Traditionally an artisans’ quarter, the Oltrarno still boasts today many lovely antique shops and artisans’ studios and Via Maggio remains the focus of Florence’s thriving antiques trade.
Within the area all kinds of amenities are available. The area is in fact filled with shops, bars and restaurants.
