Tupper Lake Cabin Rental Photos and Description

6 bedroom, 4 bath, sleeps 18

Located in the heart of the Adirondack Park, Coccia Pines has a private waterfront location, dock and over 180 feet of shoreline. Swim, sail, boat, canoe, fish, hike, golf… stay at Coccia Pines and explore the best of the Adirondacks. Boat mooring, dock space, highspeed Wi-Fi internet service* and many more amenities provided at no additional charge.

The camp is composed of two cabin rentals and a Dorm on a large private wooded lot with one large dock. It is available for lodging from May through September.

Lakefront Cabin: This gem of a vintage Adirondack Camp features a living room and 3 bedrooms with water views, 2 baths, full kitchen, with dishwasher and new stove, a lakestone fireplace and floor to ceiling wainscoting. The wrap-around porch, just feet from the water, is perfect for taking in the wonderful sunsets directly across the lake. (The 3rd bedroom is accessed from the wrap around porch and is not located inside the main living area of the Lakefront Cabin)

Lakeview Cabin: Just 40 feet from the water, the Lakeview Cabin is a cozier version of the Lakefront Cabin. With newly restored floor to ceiling wainscoting in each room, and a newly remodeled bathroom and kitchen, the Lakeview Cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple or family of four. Originally just a two room cabin which went through successive additions during the ‘Twenties and ‘Thirties, the Lakeview Cabin now features a master bedroom and loft twin bedroom with lake views, a modern kitchen also with a lake view, and a cozy rustic living room (with sofa).

The Dorm: This large bedroom above the Lakeview Cabin with private entrance and bath, 2 double beds and 2 twin beds, can be rented with either the Lakeview Cabin or Lakefront Cabin, minimum of two nights. The Dorm may also be rented, independent of the cabins, minimum of two nights.

The natural beauty and serenity of Tupper Lake combines with its proximity to the Olympic region (Lake Placid – 30 miles), High Peaks Wilderness Area (16 miles), Long Lake (22 miles) and Blue Mountain Lake (30 miles), to give you the perfect Adirondack vacation rental. Just a few of the attractions within 30 miles include: the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Facilities, Great Camp Sagamore, the Adirondack Museum and numerous forest and water activities.

If you are interested in just renting one of the cabins please e-mail us for more info. We do also rent the Lakefront and Lakeview cabin individually. The price reflects the entire property.

About Lucille Valentino

Hank & Lucille love the history of the Adirondack's, Coccia Pines Camp, and sharing the tranquility Tupper Lake provides. Lucille grew up spending her summers at the camp. She learned to water ski at a young age and can still get up on skis in her 70s. Hank and Lucille enjoy relaxing on the deck and watching the sunset, or the family of loons float by. Lucille also enjoys capturing the special moments on canvas and has developed her talents as a painter.

Lucille Valentino purchased this cabin in 1955

Why Lucille Valentino chose Adirondack Mountains

The property has been in our family since 1955, when Jim Coccia, the father of the current owners, bought it with fellow members of the Rome Hunting Club. Jim purchased the camp from the Rome Hunting Club in 1968 and passed it on to his children in 1991. The “Coccia” part of “Coccia Pines” is in recognition of our gratitude for his foresight.

What makes this cabin unique

The “Pines” part of 'Coccia Pines” comes from the three huge White Pine trees that surround the Lakefront Cabin, one of which is almost 300 years old (yes, one day we did go out with a biology book, a tape measure, and our almost forgotten geometry lessons and figured out the ages of the trees!), obviously here when the camp was built in 1918, by Lewis Ferguson and his brother, both from Brooklyn.

Right on the water, the Lakefront Cabin was built as the main camp of the property, and just 40 feet from the water, the Lakeview Cabin was built as a home for the year-round caretakers. If you look at the camp from the water, it is easy to see what a wonderful job the architect did designing the house for this particular plot of land and in building the Lakefront Cabin between our incredible White Pines.

We feel very fortunate to be able to share this unique camp with our family, friends, and guests. We're sure you will agree, it is a very special place.

Classic Adirondack lodging

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at Coccia Pines , tucked away off route 30, with our group of 11. The four cousins stayed in the "dorm" room and had their own bathroom and shower. This is not a luxury home, but rather a true Adirondack cabin (actually two cabins), which is exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of space for everyone although it would have been nice to have a few more chairs on the amazing wrap around covered deck overlooking the lake, as well as a few easy to carry chairs to bring down to the dock. You may want to bring some folding chairs of your own. The beds were comfortable and the kitchens were well stocked. Both kitchens are on the small side so you need to come in with a plan for where to keep food, where to cook, etc..., however it worked out great and it was nice for each cabin to have its' own kitchen. The lake was so quiet with very little boat traffic -even on the weekend. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the great deck every evening and we rented stand up paddle boards from nearby Racquette River (they delivered them!). We brought our own canoe and kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the many nearby islands. Several of us are runners, and we ran to nearby Tupper Ski hill from the cabins.

The lakefront cabin was truly original and rustic in style, but extremely clean and very nice being right on the water! Lucille is very helpful and responsive, very pleasant person to deal with. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, we really enjoyed it.

Good place for family fun

  • 4 of 5

Shared two cabins with extended families and all 17 of us had a bed. Cabins have a nice rustic adirondak feel but are clean and well stocked. Woodsy, secluded feeling, and lots of shade so cabins stayed nice and cool. Hiking, boating, swimming, evening games, and lots of icecream made for a great vacation. Other than a rickety dining table (leg kept falling off) everything was great.

Owner's Response: Pamela. The leg must have been broken during the last renters stay. Thanks for letting me know. I will get it fixed. I am glad you enjoy your stay.

Great stay!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay at Coccia Pines was a delight! We spent a lot of time soaking in the sun on the dock and swimming in the lake. The cabins had a very fun charm to them. Even though there were two kitchens, we primarily only used one for all the cooking. Though it was great to have two refrigerators to hold all the food for the weekend. I'll echo someone in an earlier review that commented on the lack of a large communal space. The outdoor deck and outdoor space is wonderful in the daytime, but at night it would have been nice to have a larger space for the 15 of us to congregate, though we did get cozy and not have a problem piling into the lakefront living room. We rented boats from the nearby raquette outfitters and they delivered the boats to the house and we paddled all around the lake.

Overall, a wonderful stay! Thanks Lucille!

Owner's Response: Dear Rene, Thank you for your review. I am happy that you enjoyed your stay at Coccia. I understand your concern that there is not a large room for everyone to congrate in the evening. We do try to show that in the photos. I will make a point of putting that in the discription. Since cabins are 100 years old, they did not make the rooms large. Thank again for leaving the cabins in good condition.

One of our best vacations

  • 4 of 5

We were delighted by our stay at Coccia Pines. The combination of the Lakefront Cabin, Lakeview Cabin and Dorm fit our whole crew, with 2 on couches and 1 on a futon. The glory of the place is in its waterfront location and its splendid porch. The kids, ranging in age from 5-12, were entirely satisfied and it allowed adults to enjoy conversation on the porch. The accommodations themselves are somewhat rustic, but this did not distract from the overall goodness of the experience. If there is a flaw to the accommodations, it's that there is no ideal gathering place - a kitchen or great room - but so long as expectations on this issue are appropriately set, the overall experience is excellent. We brought kayaks and enjoyed being able to launch right from the property. We enjoyed brilliant stars from the dock at night. We did a few nearby hikes that were sufficiently easy for the kids. We enjoyed dinners outside from the picnic table. Overall, we highly recommend the Coccia Pines.

Owner's Response: I am very happy that you enjoyed your stay at Coccia Pines. We like to limit our guest to 16 so if there were more than that it would be crowed in the family room. When our family is there, everyone sits around the table to play cards. The cabins are 100 years old so they did not build large great rooms. Hopefully the two family rooms and the porch made it comfortable for you. The cabins were left in good condition but they were very messy. Thank you for staying at Coccia Pines.
