Great location and facility
The email instructions for access did not quite match the necessary protocol for the door lock but not a serious problem. As stated above, the location is great and the facilities top notch. The small single beds in two bedrooms were uncomfortable. We plan to return in the future.
Great contemporary home at the coast
Loved the open living room and contemporary style of this place. It was a perfect retreat for our group after a long trip. House was clean and there was plenty of room to spread out, take in the lake views, and just relax.
Nice place on the lake
This was a very clean, nice house. Beautiful view of the lake in front. We loved sitting in the window having our coffee and watching the changing colors of the lake as the sun came out. My only issue with this rental were all the hidden fees. The cost went from the advertised $195 per night to $297 per night after including all the fees. These fees need to be more available and transparent on the site.
Has everything you need
This house is great. It has all the amenities you need including fast Internet access (80Mb down, 15Mb up). It easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 children. We walked down the road to a little bridge with a lookout and watched the sun set and it was beautiful. We only stayed the one night which is my only knock...I would suggest staying multiple nights to make the extra fees worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the Port Orford area. The house is quite spacious, well maintained and stocked. The view is beautiful and the use of the kayaks is a great perk.
The view was great! The house was nice, but had some flaws.
The view was great! Kayaking was a lot of fun and hunting for agates on the beach was an adventure. The house is nice, but a little sterile/austere. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen was not well stocked. There were limited pots, pans and cooking utensils. Besides the microwave, the only electric item was the coffee maker. The beds were comfortable and the the living room spacious. The jacuzzi tub sounded great, but was a real disappointment. Tried it four times. It was great the first time. The three remaining times it shot out some kind of black chunks/flakes of material when we turned on the jets. Needless to say, we only used it once. On an earlier concern about the back sliding glass door, the property management company was very responsive. We tried calling them all day about the tub but just got s busy signal.
If the tub worked fine, and you prefer to eat out rather than cook yourself, it is not a bad place to stay. It does have a nice view of the lake.
As reviews are sincerely appreciated and important to us, I feel this review is unwarranted. This guests reservation was for 1 night only. Taking 4 baths in 1 night seems extraordinary. I personally am in the office 7 days a week and have not had any issues with not receiving incoming phone calls. Our after-hours phone numbers are also given to guests through VRBO, in the arrival instruction e-mail and are also listed throughout the home. We take pride in our service to guests and are perplexed as to Mikes issues as the previous contact mentioned was through e-mail, not via phone. The kitchen is fully stocked. We appreciate feed back from guests. If there were any additional items needed for the kitchen, we would have been happy to deliver immediately upon request. I went through the kitchen after reading this review and find nothing lacking.
The style of this newly decorated and remodeled home is evident in the pictures, which is clearly part of its charm. We have a grand history of 5 star reviews at LakeHaven and are sorry to hear this guest did not have an optimal experience.
