Why Stephanie Tyler chose Tahoe Vista
Lake Tahoe is renowned as America’s Best Lake” and is a top ski and travel destination year-round! Depending on the season you are vacationing in, Lake Tahoe has something for everyone. During the winter your days can be filled with skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating or simply just relaxing by the fire. The summer months in Tahoe offer long, warm days filled with swimming, golfing, hiking, biking, & fishing and cool mountain nights and starry skies. Spring is a great combination of both winter and summer; you can ski and hit the beach all in one day! In the fall, Tahoe starts changing colors and making the already gorgeous views even more spectacular! Come and fall in love any time of the year!
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:
Great cabin, great location. I’d keep an eye on the extra fees— not all of them are included in what you pay through VRBO, the optional damage insurance was a little less optional than I was given to understand, but the company was otherwise super responsive and helped us get a lost item back very quickly. Would rent again.
The house overall was accommodating and clean. It should be noted in the listing that it is managed
The house overall was accommodating and clean. It should be noted in the listing that it is managed by a rental agency, who charge extra ($70) for the stay. What was originally to cost for 3 nights total of $1,500, ultimately cost $1,700, after all extra charges. Also note the decor is 1950 -1970’s and not much has been updated since that time. Wood was present and no damper sign, but no hand soap or shower gel in the bathrooms, as I have had in other VRBO rentals. Good place to go to with young children and pets. No CD player. My family still had a good time and a very Merry Christmas holiday.
Thank you for your review! Yes, we are a local property management company that manages this great family cabin. However, the $200+ in additional fees were not from us! These fees are from booking through a third party. We would love for you to book directly with us next time and save that extra cash to buy even more holiday cheer!
New fluffy snow, fireplace, good stocked kitchen, firm beds and warm blankets for the 10 of us:) Thanks!
A great weekend away for our families
Our three families very much enjoyed this cozy cabin over Presidents Day weekend - a comfortable home base for snow play, cooking shared meals, and playing inside after dark. Thanks so much for the great getaway!
Amazing 4 days
We spent thanksgiving with 12 people here. The house was clean and very nice. Enjoyed the stay a lot, can recommend to anyone.
It did the job...
We stayed a week at this Tahoe rental and enjoyed ourselves. As I say, it got the job done, although there are many improvements that are needed at this very out-dated cabin. There are many beds, none of them comfortable. There are two bathrooms, both in need up updates (one in the downstairs bedroom and one upstairs), but the shower had good pressure. The living room had very old and uncomfortable furniture, with the exception of one couch, a small t.v. and very old, stained carpet. But with kids and a dog it made it so I wasn't worried so it worked out. The outside deck was nice and we BBQ'd but beware, there are many splinters and nails that protrude, as again, the upkeep hasn't been what it should be (my dog ripped one of her pads on a nail out there).
Overall, we had a great time but I would definitely look elsewhere next time, especially considering the price we paid to stay one week.
