About the property

This Classic Home Has Lots Of Character.

Classic Family place. If you're looking for a getaway for the extended family, this is the place. If you're looking for chandeliers made of antlers and cukoo clocks, this is the place with lots of space. If your looking for a place with a high chair, a pack and play and some children's toys, this is the place. This is however, not the party place.

Light a fire, put on some music, and pour a glass of wine. You're in Whistler now, it's time to relax.

Cozy, spacious, and close - a perfect family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Classic Whistler House. Homey, old fashioned chalet-style, but very comfortable. The house caters perfectly to families - lots of privacy for sleeping, lots of cozy spots to pick up a book, and lots of rooms which are all large and very kid-friendly. We were a large family of adults (7) with three wee ones, and everyone had a great time. This is totally not a party-house; it's a make a leisurely afternoon round of tea, followed by a big fondue and a game of scrabble kind-of-house. We loved the well-appointed kitchen, which was (like the rest of the house) super neat and tidy, and only a 10-15 min walk to the Whistler Gondola. We loved coming home after a fun day out and being close enough to the Village to take in the sights, but far enough away to have a great night's sleep (undisturbed by revellers). It was great to pop the gear into the heated garage to dry out overnight... and this family of skiers was very happy to kick back in front of the fire, enjoy a glass of wine, and pop the kiddos in front of a DVD for a quiet night. It was exactly what we were looking for - thanks Sylvia!

This home was great for our family ski vacation! there were plenty of beds/bedrooms for our family - we had two families staying together. The house has all the amenities and the owner was easily available by email with any questions. The wood fireplace was easy to use, as wood was readily available and made for great evening ambiance! the close proximity to the village was perfect! we drove one big vehicle to the daytime parking lot which is $8 a day and well worth it so we didn't have to haul the kids/equipment etc. The home was clean and comfortable!

A family Place

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for a week with 2 adults and 2 kids. The house is older but very spacious - sleeps 12 on three levels with common area and wood fireplace for family gatherings. The location is superb with short walking distance to both ends of the Village. Also easy access to bike and walking trails which we enjoyed throughout our week! :)
