Immaculate 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Apt. In Popular Queen Anne Close To Downtown
About Janet Dixon
Though I've traveled the world and take long road trips to visit family, my soul is in the Pacific Northwest. I am orginally from the midwest, Illinois, but after experiencing the northwest during our years in Alaska I knew that I would at some point become a resident of Seattle. That opportunity presented itself in 1990. I purchased a house on Vashon Island which is a short ferry ride from West Seattle. It was the best move I ever made. The house was on the water and I turned it into a bed and breakfast. That was my first experience providing travelers with accommodations and all these years later I am trying it again. As a profession I have managed non-profits and since retirement I have done a variety of interesting things to fill my life. This is one of them. Add more Janet@

Why Janet Dixon chose West Queen Anne
I choose this particular property because of it proximity to all that is Seattle. It is a hop skip and a jump from Seattle Center and downtown. It has a wonderful commercial area one block away as well as offering a very neighborhood feeling.
What makes this Apartment unique
I purchased this property in 1996 because of it location and thought that future renters would find the amenities offered in the neighbor desirable and I was right. I have had no problems renting my spaces over all those years but now I am ready to try something a little different. I am looking forward to this being as much a success.

Comfortable and Relaxing
Jan Dixon made this experience enjoyable because she tried to anticipate everything a traveler might need.
She was gracious about early check-in, met us on arrival, and provided us with information on public transportation nearby and the shopping and dining opportunities in the neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for a nicer retreat and safe location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Seattle using this wonderful place as our base. Our host was warm, kind, and helpful and let us check-in a bit early so we could park and drop off our luggage. We had a slight problem once with connecting to the Internet but it was QUICKLY resolved. The place was just the right size, comfortable, quiet and in a great location- a great value too. A grocery store, coffee, and restaurants were very close by and within an easy walking distance. We felt very safe and at ease in the area. Given a chance to return to this area, I would definitely choose this place again. I can’t really think of anything that could have made it nicer for us. Our thanks to a great host!

We loved our stay here. So comfortable and quiet! Completely stocked with everything we needed! Perfect quiet and quaint neighborhood with a Starbucks, Trader Joe’s and excellent eateries 1-2 blocks away! We will definitely recommend to everyone we know visiting Seattle! Thanks Jan and Julia!!
Perfect, calm, clean place to stay. Queen Anne location also gets five stars, everything you need in a very short walk
Really enjoyed staying at Jan's property. Clean, quiet and near restaurants and bars. Jan met us at the apartment and showed us the ropes. Lovely community and soul-refreshing for my wife and I. Highly recommend!
A bit of little know information is that Seattle was build on seven hills. Queen Anne is one of those hills and it is the closest residential area to Seattle Center and the City Center which includes the famous Pike Place Market.
Queen Anne is a historic neighborhood studded with cute cottages and gardens, flanked by stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and filled with specialty shops, international cuisine, access to yoga classes, great coffee shops and the beauty of it all is they are only one block away. Within .5 of a mile you are able to see Puget Sound from the famous Highland Drive overhang where the entire skyline of the city can be seen with the majestic Mt. Rainer in the background.
From Queen Ann you have access by car to funky Freemont and Ballard neighborhoods as well as Greenwood and Green Lake. On the east side of the hill is Lake Union where you can rent kayaks and explore the floating homes (remember Sleepless in Seattle), stop and have lunch at the lake side restaurants or even hop on a sea plane and have an aerial view of the the surrounding area.
Seattle Center is not just the Space Needle although it is a must see. You can go to the opera, ballet, the Pacific Science Center, the butterfly exhibit, the children's museum, live theater at the Rep, catch the monorail to downtown and have a wonderful time at the EMP (Experience Music Project). You will be awed by Frank Gerhy's architectural design of the building and by it's exhibits which are dedicated to the exploration of popular music,(Nirvana), science fiction and pop culture.
