About Peggy Petrey
We are both full-time artist living in the Southside Historical Neighborhood of Chattanooga, just blocks away from the Mitchell House. In 2007 we chose Chattanooga as our new home-base after having searched for property from San Diego to Asheville. We fell in love with Chattanooga and it's central location. Once we heard of the redevelopment plans for the Southside area into an arts district we knew we had to move here. We purchased a metal industrial building on Main Street and created a wonderful artist live/work space. The space is perfect for us and allows is the room we need to create and flourish.
Peggy Petrey purchased this Townhome in 2009
Why Peggy Petrey chose Southside Historic District
Initially we bought the home for our parents, however they only needed the downstairs unit. Since the property is located downtown where all the festivals, sports activities, art events and tourist attractions happen, it made total sense to open the upstairs for others to enjoy a home-like setting while visiting Chattanooga. The house is in a diverse neighborhood that has undergone many changes in the last ten years. Our neighbors are all friends and welcoming to all. If you sit on the porch for a few moments don't be surprised if one of the neighbors introduce themselves to you, we're a friendly bunch.
What makes this Townhome unique
We love staying in vacation rentals when we travel. Often times we the amenities are minimal and we find ourselves wishing we had a tv, the internet or a few board games to play. We wanted to provide a space that has everything you will need, making your stay that much more enjoyable. You'll find that we've tried to think of everything that you might need in case you decide to stay inside on a rainy day and if we haven't thought of everything we are open to suggestions!

Perfect house & location! Even a cute pocket park across the street. Walking to so many great little restaurants & brewpubs! Highly recommend!
Our family loved staying here
The home owners are wonderful and make you feel at home before you even arrive. The home was very clean and had everything that we needed during our stay. Not only were we comfortable but we had a lot of family fun playing games some of the games that were provided during our stay. Great location if your interested in walking to grab a bite to eat at the near by establishments. We will definitely return and look forward to another great family adventure. 100% satisfied!!!
Amazing rennovation- great area and cool pad!
This place is charming! From the moment we walked in we were blown away by how the character of this townhome was kept with all creature comforts! Things we loved: in a really cool little area of Chattanooga- restaurants and shops within walking distance (although I was amazed as we explored the city how many other cool places there were with restaurants/activities); living room was packed with movies/games; artwork throughout the place was unique; bedroom with 2 twin beds was great for kids; nice little touches like K-Cups and creamer; etc. My son left “Frog Jog” (his best buddy since he was one year) behind and the owners mailed it back within days! We really enjoyed staying here and the owners were great to deal with! Highly recommended!
Perfect for exploring Chattanooga
The pictures don't do this rental justice. It is fabulous! It's both historic and modern at the same time while being spacious, quiet and comfortable. The location can't be beat and the parking spots are a great way to beat the hassles of street parking. Peggy was wonderful to work with every step of the way. We had everything we needed and loved the little extras like soaps, cocoa, pitchers of water in the fridge and more. My husband says it's his favorite rental we have ever stayed in, and we will definitely be back!
What a nice review, thank you! Our goal is for our place to be comfortable and clean so you can rest after a day of play. To know you experienced that makes me really happy. You took such great care of our place and left it so clean! We hope to host you again soon.
Six of us were there for a girlfriend getaway and we agreed it is the perfect place...walk to restaurants and Choo Choo and other attractions. Thanks Petreys! We’ll definitely recommend!
Convince is key.
