About Melissa Nemer
Having both moved here 15 years ago from different cities - Philadelphia and Minneapolis - we quickly fell in love with San Francisco. Now, we and our two children couldn't imagine living anywhere else and love the vibrancy, the people and the beauty of San Francisco. Over the years, our love for travel has led us to many homes found through VRBO and we are so excited to now have an opportunity to welcome others. We truly understand what makes a vacation home one which is comfortable, easy, safe and fun. We hope to host you sometime soon!
Melissa Nemer purchased this Apartment in 2013
Why Melissa Nemer chose Glen Park
We spent years looking for the perfect blend of a home located on a quiet, beautiful street, but which is immediately accessible to a variety of neighborhoods, restaurants, services, parks, shops and transportation. We're thrilled to have found it. We also love that our neighborhood has some of the best weather in an often foggy city. We're situated between Noe Valley and Glen Park, both of which we frequent daily in our everyday lives. We love how easy it is to utilize our public transit system and how quickly we can walk to so many locals favorites around us.

Nice cozy place to stay
A great little apartment. Comfortable, well equipped, well maintained in a quaint quiet neighborhood. Made our San Francisco visit feel like home. Melissa even provides a bottle of local wine & chocolate to welcome you on your stay. Can’t go wrong with this accommodation.
Nice, clean, well stocked apartment in quiet spot near basic ammenities
I was not going to give such a good review because the parking was definitely an issue but I soon learned that parking is an issue anywhere in San Francisco!! Anyway, our car was large so if you have a small car you will be good to go. Neighborhood is quiet and pleasant and for such a large city seems safe enough. Kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed and there was plenty of room for 4 people. Place was kept nice and clean. I would stay here again!
Great with one exception
We had a great stay in San Francisco and can recommend this place to others. We are giving this some great reviews because of the clean and functional way the apartment is kept up and the most kindly and promptly available managers up stairs who I think are the owners.
The one area of explanation though is the second bedroom which is a murphy bed that is in the living room area off of the kitchen. There is an opening in the wall of about five feet square by the kitchen table that allows refrigerator motor noises into that sleeping area. It is lessened fairly well when the entry doors are closed but sill may be a concern to those who sleep in the murphy bed. There are some child foot traffic sounds in the evening prior to 8 pm but if you have the TV loud it doesn’t seem to distract from the occasion.
Again this was not major concern that robed us of a good stay but others may want to weigh the facts for the persons who will be staying with you.
Comfortable and Convenient
We’ve stayed here several times before. The location is very convenient for us because our daughter lives nearby. It’s also close to BART and a number of very nice restaurants.
Very dirty, excessive MOLD, musty smell throughout the apartment. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I wish I could give a good review because the owner Melissa was very friendly and helpful with the reservation process, etc... Unfortunately, the condition of the property is horrible. Right when we opened the door we could smell the must and the mold. At first glance the apartment looks nice when you walk in because it is furnished nicely. A quick look around though and you realize the place is extremely dirty. I am very allergic to mold and knew that there was quite a bit of it in the apartment because I immediately reacted to being there. It did not take long to find it. The bathroom shower, sink, and window all had mold. The window was covered in it! The walls were dirty and stained including behind the kitchen sink. The floors were disgusting! Our socks were brown after walking around for only a little while. The edges of the floors are caked with dirt and grime. There is mold around the back door (on the inside of the apartment). I could not even use the kitchen towels because they smelled so musty. We wanted to leave and cancel our stay immediately. Unfortunately our circumstances did not allow that. My daughter has a rare medical disorder and she has special medical food that requires we have access to a freezer, stove, etc... We have to bring A LOT of stuff with us. Even if we could have found a new place that suited our needs on such short notice (which is not a guarantee), finding a place and moving to it would have taken a day or more of our 4 day vacation. Therefore, we decided to stay. The mold made me sick so I spent the four days not feeling well. We refused to shower in the moldy bathroom because the steam would have made things even worse so we spent 4 days taking sponge baths using a towel to stand on in the kitchen area. I do a lot of research before booking due to my daughter's medical condition and my allergies. I am shocked that no one has stated the condition of the apartment in the reviews. I took several pictures to show that what I am saying is factual. It was terrible. I wish someone else would have said what I am saying so that we did not end up in the situation we did. :(
A very pleasant place to stay
I was in town for a family event. This apartment was very quiet and comfortable and well equipped. The walk to the nearest BART Station (Glen Park) was about 10 minutes. You could also easily walk down the hill and end up at the J streetcar stop or on Mission Street, where there is considerable commerce and good bus service into downtown.
