You will be very centrally and conveniently located, but also get to experience the best of both worlds -- you are at the top of the hill, the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, nestled up against a lush, tropical jungle. Indulge in this private, tranquil setting, feeling completely nestled in and surrounded by gorgeous trees and greenery, yet be so close to amenities and world-class beaches. Be truly at one with nature, the rustling breeze, and the refreshing rain, wake up to morning birdsong, and sink into the peaceful beauty of this tranquility.

The home offers 3 completely separate self-contained suite areas ("Master Suite" on 2nd floor, "Palm Suite" on 1st floor, and "Jungle Suite" at rear of house) plus 2 additional bedrooms. Ideal for multigenerational families and groups of work colleagues, or anyone needing separate private bedroom/bathroom areas. Beautiful new luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the main house.

The main living area on 2nd floor is an open-plan layout, with the kitchen, dining and living rooms all facing the spectacular full-screen views of the bay, ocean and mountains. The covered lanai (deck) off the living room extends the living area and brings the magnificent expanse and beauty of the outdoors inside. Whether preparing a meal, enjoying your food, lounging on the sofa, or relaxing on the lanai, you will be mesmerized by the ever-changing vista.

You will love being in the newly renovated kitchen, with its quartz countertops, new cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, and recessed and under cabinet lighting. The brand new dining table is a beautiful mango wood square table that seats 8, and is counter-height in order to maximize the ocean view!

MASTER SUITE (2nd Floor):

The "Master Suite" is surrounded by the lush jungle, with wrap around jalousie windows that allow you to feel at one with nature. Sleep super comfortably on the Tempur Pedic king mattress and Tempur Pedic pillows. Enjoy the 40" flat panel LED TV in the master bedroom, with Apple TV. There is a half-bath ensuite off the master bedroom.

4th Bedroom (Queen, 2nd Floor):

Queen size memory foam mattress, with views to the bay and mountains, and also to the jungle on the side of the house. The room also has a kids' study desk.

5th Bedroom (Single, 2nd Floor):

New memory foam single bed with storage headboard, and includes a glass top computer desk and office chair. Views to the bay, ocean and mountains.

Full Bathroom is off the hallway next to the three 2nd floor bedrooms.

PALM SUITE (1st Floor)

The "Palm Suite" looks out onto the beautiful Hawaiian Areca Palms, and sports a gorgeous new full bathroom with shower, featuring ceramic tile, new vanity with quartz countertop and new fixtures. The "Palm Suite" offers the comforts of an Ikea sectional couch which also pulls out into a very comfortable double bed -- much more comfortable than a typical pull-out spring sofa bed. Please note that the room is open to the front entrance and there is a folding partition, but no door separating the bedroom area from the front entrance.

JUNGLE SUITE (Rear of home):

Newly renovated, private 500 sq. ft. self-contained studio "Jungle Suite" nestled into lush jungle setting. Beautiful ceramic tile floor throughout, brand new kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, under cabinet lighting, new full-size fridge, new bathroom fixtures!

In the "Jungle Suite" you'll find the home's second kitchen, fully equipped with a new fridge, induction hot plate, coffee maker, microwave, dishware, and cooking and eating utensils. The bathroom has a huge walk-in tiled shower, new fixtures, and entrance door to the outside.

The "Jungle Suite" also includes a very comfortable queen size bed. Please note that this is a very good quality mattress, but it is a little on the soft side. From the mahogany high-top dining table, enjoy the jungle view as you dine. The "Jungle Suite" has a TV and private wrap-around lanai (porch) on 2 sides. You get a peek of gorgeous Kaneohe Bay from the lanai. Enjoy the private, lush back yard with the jungle canopy towering above, for your meals, yoga, or just staring at the moon and stars. It is so quiet back here that you will not hear any traffic noise or urban clamor.

The laundry hallway separates the main house kitchen and the rear "Jungle Suite", which is completely separated from the front part of the house, with no shared walls.

No two days, rainbows or cloud formations are the same. Our position at the top of the hill and end of the cul-de-sac gives you an obstructed, elevated view straight out to the natural wonder of the scenic beauty surrounding us. And being situated on the windward (northeast) side of the island, we are blessed with near-constant "trade winds" which provide a natural cooling breeze that keeps the tropical warmth just perfect.

There is an open 2-car garage attached to the house. You have use of 1 garage space, as well as additional parking on the driveway. Feel free to use the boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, tennis rackets.

VERY IMPORTANT: absolutely no pets, no smoking, no unauthorized guests. While this home accommodates up to 8 guests, it is essential that our guests are quiet and respectful of the neighbors. Noise, partying and raucous behavior of any kind are strictly prohibited, and we do not permit any gatherings, parties or events of any kind.

We can accommodate Japanese speaking guests as we both speak Japanese. 日本語でもどうぞ。

In the interest of full disclosure, bugs are part of living in Hawaii, as are other creatures who visit from our jungle. The occasional cockroach is not a sign of sanitation problems. You also might see a cane spider (large, but not poisonous.) You will also definitely see geckos and possibly hear wild pigs in the jungle at night. Again, neither of those is dangerous. We do see a couple of centipedes a year, and their bite is painful, so make sure you check that your closed-toe footwear is uninhabited before putting it on. All of that being said, we can guarantee that the place is super clean, and you certainly don't have to worry about being infested! And the other comforting news -- no snakes in Hawaii!

Great location and good value.

Communication with the owner was excellent. The house was clean and accommodated our group of 2 families & 2 singles (3 1/2 bathrooms made it better). The location was excellent for the sailors racing at the Kaneohe Yacht Club. The only comment is that the living room could have used more overhead lighting and there was not a communal area to watch tv (or videos). I'd stay here again.

Beautiful view

This house is located in a residential area in a Kaneohe culdesac on the Windward side of the island. This side of Oahu is the lush tropical area located @ the base of the Koolau mountains, so it does rain most often at night but it's always soothing to me to hear the heavy tropical rains at night. (We even heard the pigs outside our window late at night, but never caught site of them). The view from the lanai is pretty spectacular (even more beautiful than the photo) and was the best way to wake up in the morning. The house is very spacious & comfortable and the kitchen had all the amenities you would hope for. The house sat at the base of the mountain, which gave it a more rural tropical feel, but the homes in the culdesac are closely located next to other homes & everyone has their windows open most all the time so if you have a loud group...then this is not a good choice bc its disruptive to the nearby occupants.

The owners kept in touch with us and were thoughtful to check in on us via email while we were there. We found the beach gear in the garage (boogie boards, ice chest, snorkel gear, life jackets, beach mats, sand toys, etc) for use. As always, the beauty of Hawaii takes my breath away and I can't wait to move back again someday.

Great View & Convenient Location on Windward Side

We rented this house for a week to attend a wedding on Kailua Beach. It was very comfortable, extremely clean, and short drive to Kailua Beach. It's located at end of street on top of hill in very quiet neighborhood with terrific view of Kaneohe Bay. House was well equipped, nicely decorated, beds comfortable, WIFI worked well, and owners very responsive to any questions. There is an apartment connected to the back of the house that was rented to a teacher who was very nice. We only saw him once and never heard any noise from his apartment, so privacy was not a problem. Only TV is in the Master Bedroom but this was not a problem for us as our family rarely watches television while on vacation in such a beautiful place as Hawaii. We would rent here again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous central location 2 blocks from Kaneohe Bay Drive and city bus stop. Five minutes to Kailua beach. Easy access to H-3, Likelike and Pali Highways. Five minutes from grocery stores, restaurants and all the amenities you need. This is an extremely quiet street in an older established neighborhood, filled with mostly elderly people who have owned their homes for 30-40 years. Our vacation rental is also a very quiet one. It is imperative that we have our guests' cooperation in keeping it peaceful. If you want to be loud, party or behave raucously in any way, you would be happier in, and better suited to, the Waikiki vibe. Our ability to host future guests, and the success of neighborhood vacation rentals in general, are dependent on the happiness and blessing of the neighbors.

We are located an easy 20-25 minute drive from Honolulu International Airport. Please see the directions for a (website hidden) map link and detailed driving directions. You have off-street parking either in the open garage or on driveway. There is no street parking. We strongly recommend renting a car to be able to get around easily and explore the whole island. There is a bus stop two blocks from the house servicing the #56 bus route, which will take you into Kaneohe town, Kailua town, and into Waikiki/Honolulu. However, please note that the bus service can be unreliable.
