A true wine country farm experience!
Rustic, Spacious, Private, Scenic.
Huge living room with fireplace.
30 min to coast.
While other local listings offer tiny cottages, we offer a large house on several acres for the same price. And we've recently made all new kinds of new upgrades listed below.
Amazing vistas of the valley. Majestic Old Growth Redwood forest on the property.
We are nestled right between the oldest vineyard in the valley (Husch) and the newest (Angel Camp).
And we are walking distance to the world famous Roederer Estate as well as Navarro Vineyards, Lazy Creek, Phillips Hill, and Champs des Reves.
We are a comfy modest farmhouse with some quaint features like a wood burning stove and vintage plate ware. But we also have modern amenities like wireless internet, flat screen TVs, space heaters, gas stove, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. And we've added new games like Nintendo 64, darts, and tons of board games.
It's a farm not a hotel, so the property is kept pretty wild in its natural state. The grounds are lush and green in winter and spring, and dry and yellow summer and fall. Temperatures swing dramatically year round: chilly nights and warm days are common.
Wireless internet signal strong in the house.
Cell service good for Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint. AT&T spotty.
Master Bedroom - 2 Queen size beds, cable TV + DVD player, large closet.
Guest Bedroom - 1 Full Size bed, large closet.
Living Room - 1 Queen size pull out bed, huge room with corner couch, cable TV, DVD player, Game table, video games, and fireplace.
Pets allowed on a per case basis (no shedding). Dogs must be on a leash or kept close to owner and supervised.
Plenty to do in the valley: wine tasting, romantic dining, brewery tours, cellar tours, hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing (ocean, lakes, and streams), kayaking, birdwatching, mushroom foraging, hunting, 4-wheeling, coastal drives, state parks, or just relaxing.
I live in LA but am from the Bay Area. I started as a mural painter then studied film. I now work as a Director and continue to enjoy painting.
Christopher Halmo purchased this farmhouse in 1970
My grandfather purchased the farm in 70s and our friends and family spent holidays and summers on the property. After my grandfather passed, I took it over with my brother and cousin. When we are not here fixing it up, we enjoy sharing it with great guests.
The greatest asset of the farm is the stunning views out the backyard. We are on a hill surrounded by vineyards so the vista is gorgeous. We have several fruit yielding trees around the property: apples, pears, plums, persimmons, walnuts. Each of the trees on the farm was named after a family member.
Anderson Valley is a premiere wine tasting and historic scenic region. There are old growth Redwoods, breathtaking views, abundant fresh foods, and incredible wines. It's the perfect place to relax, be romantic, be creative, or escape from the world.
