Beautiful Open Palapa Style Villa With Infinity Pool near Sayulita
- english, french, german, spanish, hungarian
Villa Estrella was lovingly designed, built and furnished by its Architect owners for eventual retirement. The villa is beautifully decorated in an intimate personal manner. The love for nature, and the way the villa brings nature inside is stunning.
Jackie purchased this Villa in 2000
Why Jackie chose Zacualpan
We love nature. We disdain mass tourism. We look for escape from commercialism. We seek individuality of experience. We have traveled the globe and have rarely encountered a more beautiful or unspoiled setting. Rare and hard to find seclusion combined with luxury, service, safety, community.
What makes this Villa unique
Incredible natural setting. Ocean on 3 sides, beautiful swimming pools. Your own full time maid who also cooks for you. A host manager to take care of all your needs. Whales in winter, turtles in summer.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Everything was very nice and put together.
My favorite spot was the hammock!
Take earplugs, when the ocean is rough its kind of loud in the Master because the waves are crashing at your feet. (I know I sound nit picky but I slept with earplug 3 nights!)
Rosa was great, we did our best to speak spanish with her.
Best Family Vacation Yet!
We chose Villa Estrella because they were flexible with our arrival date, and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We arrived in the dark, with the beautiful basket lights lighting the entryway and delicious dinner of chile rellenos and cold beer awaiting us in the kitchen. We went to bed to the sound of crashing waves, and woke to the most amazing view. Our family spent our days lounging in the pool, reading, playing cards, walking , surfing and boogie boarding at the beach, all with no interruptions from phones, internet or TV...it was absolute heaven, even for our 22 and 26 year olds. We went from jammies to bathing suits then back to jammies...no makeup, no blow dryers, no shoes. We all had massages on the patio. Marissa took wonderful care of us, and her meals were delicious...I definitely recommend the meal plan. Ismael and Albero made sure everything at the house and on the grounds were perfect...we wanted for nothing. We were fortunate to spend New Year's Eve with many of the homeowners, who included us in the beach bonfire and cocktail party...it was like we were one big family! They are probably such a happy group of people because they have found the perfect spot in Mexico...on a beautiful point with amazing views, next to an estuary that creates perfect waves and a great beach, near a small pueblo that is easy to reach but off the beaten path. We are already planning our trip to paradise, also know as Villa Estrella, but next time I'm bringing more books and less clothes!
Ideal for group or family retreat/event
We arrived at Villa Estrella in the evening to garden lights shining on bright pink bougainvillea vines, dinner in the kitchen, and the sound of the ocean. Our group was there for a yoga retreat, and Villa Estrella was one of the houses we occupied for an entire week.
There is a spacious living area that is covered, yet continues out to the dipping pool. Plenty of room for yoga mats. The two larger bedrooms were lovely, and one can fall asleep~ and wake up~ to the sounds of waves. The room with 2 single beds is best for kids.
Rosa and Sofia are exceptional cooks, and we were very well fed. They are able to accommodate some dietary requests with advance notice. The gardeners keep the pools clean and the grounds of the private compound are beautifully landscaped and maintained. This was our second year bringing a group to Punta el Custodio, and we are looking forward to returning in 2017. The owners are very prompt in responding to email.
Those of you new to coastal Mexico: bring adequate insect repellent, antihistamines, and lotion for bites. The 'no see-ums' like tender tourist skin. Also, lightweight clothing that includes long-sleeved tops and pants is super helpful. And if you arrived stressed, chances are excellent it will all be washed away within hours of your arrival Enjoy!
Beyond all expectations
We rented villa Estrella for two weeks and couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our vacation. The villa was exactly as advertised. The photos really do a wonderful job depicting the villa and everything it has to offer. The property is truly spectacular.
We were lulled to sleep every night by the pacific crashing onto the point. We spent many days in both the private pool and the larger, communal pool. Most days, we waded across the estuary mouth with our two and four year old kids and played in the tide pools that formed in the sand. These pools were perfect for our kids as they would heat up by the sun throughout the day. The pools created a perfect place for all of us to enjoy the ocean. I also spent several days surfing near perfect, uncrowded waves and many days fishing off the point with light tackle. The point happens to be a great fishing spot with many different species of fish within casting range.
We signed up for the meal plan and it was worth every penny (though it was very reasonably priced). Rosa and Sophia took great care of us all and made us feel so at home. My wife has already become Facebook friends with Sophia and truly bonded with both women.
If you're considering renting villa Estrella, we would highly suggest you do so. It definitely takes a little effort to get there but with the driving service to and from the airport it really couldn't be easier. We definitely hope to be back again and again in the future years to come.
Wow! thank you so much for your enthusiastic, heartfelt review.
It was amazing I can't even explain how wonderful everything was an even more wonderful were rosa and Raquel... I'd like to look into booking for near the first of the year around Christmas time it was a little humid for me but everything else was picture perfect and exactly as you explained. Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us...liza
Thank you for the lovely comments. We would love to have you back. We have a large family of return guests every year, who have fallen in love with Villa Estrella and return year after year.
WOW! What a wonderful 10 days we enjoyed at the beautiful Villa Estrella with family and friends. So many adventures for the whole family (our girls are ages 5 and 7) to go on each day including hiking cobblestone paths through the lush gardens, beach combing for crabs and critters, surfing and boogie boarding (favorite!), relaxing by the pools, eating all the delicious meals prepared by Rosa, 1/2 day fishing excursion to the reef (early morning for the dads!), snorkeling off the rocks in front of the villa, and enjoying fresh caught fish prepared over an open fire in the nearby fishing village of Plantanitos. And that was just the first day! Of course the weather was a sunny and comfortable mid 80's each day to work on the tan, and each bedroom was air conditioned for the perfect nights sleep after a hard day at play!
Villa Estrella is more than a great vacation get away- its a treasure. And anyone lucky enough to visit this glorious little slice of heaven as we did will know exactly what I'm talking about. Thank you so much for sharing with our family!
