About David

We have been residents of Hawaii since before statehood. Or family of four grew up spending time in Malaekahana to escape the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and enjoy the beauty of Malaekahana bay and the activities on the North shore. We recently moved to the mainland to be closer to family.

Why David chose North Shore Oahu

Our fantastic home is located on a very quiet, sandy beach, with warm water, gentle currents and the tradewinds Hawaii is famous for. It is a perfect location for families, friends, couples, and anyone looking to kick back and enjoy time together.

What makes this house unique

Located on a white sandy beach, with warm water and gentle currents

Guestbook comments from the owner

I've often dreamed of dozing off to the waves lapping up on the shore and the gentle ocean breeze. My trip couldn't have been more perfect. The beach is like picture postcard of white sand, rimmed by turquoise blue water on one side and lush green vegetation on the other. The house is comfortable with everyting needed to feel right at home and best of all, the outdoor shower is heavenly. We'll be back again next year.

Incredible Beachfront Property- Pure Paradise on the North Shore!

  • 5 of 5

This house is a dream! Situated on the most beautiful beach on the North Shore, you can surf, paddleboard, boogie board and swim right in front of the house! We saw multiple turtles when paddleboarding which was fun. We stayed here on our honeymoon two and a half years ago, and just HAD to come back. The caretaker Ernie is so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area (he's lived on Oahu his whole life!) and we fell in love with his dogs, Kui & Kahu. We went for a run or walk on the beach each morning- it's a little over 2 mile stretch of beach, and the sand is so soft. We'd come back to the house for breakfast and make smoothies or pancakes every morning, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. We grilled most nights too- the local food (even from the nearby grocer, Tamura's) is so fresh and delicious. The outdoor shower was awesome. We only used the master bedroom (bed is so comfortable and you hear the waves crashing all night, so relaxing) but you could sleep up to 8 people in the house. Having a washer/dryer made things easy. The house has beach chairs, towels, toys, boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc. all for you to use, which is awesome. A local surf company to delivers surf boards and paddle boards that you can rent for your time here. We hired a massage therapist to come bring a table and we had massages outside with an ocean view- highly recommended! The house is close to tons of great food options for eating out... yummy food trucks, fruit stands, turtle bay, Haleiwa, etc. Some of our Hawaii favorites are Fumi's shrimp farm, Bonzai Bowls (Acai Bowls), Shave Ice from Matsumoto's in Haleiwa, and Guadalajara Grill in Laie for the best Mexican we've ever had. Also Angel's ice cream shop is only 3 mins from the house next to Foodland- dangerous for a sweet tooth like me! We can't say enough good things about this house and this special place. It's magical.

Like a second home!

  • 5 of 5

We staid at this beautiful property for one week end of April and beginning of May. We really enjoyed the stay and felt like at home. Espacially our Caretaker Ernie and his Dogs Kui and Kahu became real friends.

It is a place to relax and to come down after a stressfull time in Job or at home. After waking up a beautiful view out of the window, a walk down to the beach with the coffee and after workout in the garden a swim in the ocean and an extensive breakfast. Absolutely recommendable for holidays!!

We also would recommend a rent car. Without car it would be difficult to manage Shopping, trips, etc.

There are so many things to do:

At first just beach walks up and down the "house beach". Of Course Swimming and Surfing in the ocean. Each beach, beachpark or bay is different to the other one, so we just drove to other beaches and enjoyed the stay at a different place: Recommendable are Laniakea Beach u Turtle Beach, Kailua Bay u Lanikai Beach and of Course Waikiki Beach.

Always watch out for animals: We've seen turtles and seals just lay down the beach which have been sleeping there for hours :-)

If you are interested in history it is a must to visit Pearl Habour and the sites there.

We would also recommend to hike in the mountains. All the plants are so different to those in Europe and the landscape is amazing: For example Moanalua Valley or Nuuanu Pali Lookout down the old Pali road.

All in all a place to be!!

Angelika and friends

Memorable Week in Oahu.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the home with a total of 5 people. 3 kids 7,13, and 17. They all had a great time. The beach in front of the home had perfect waves for them. The porch at the home home was perfect to sit out on in the evenings and enjoy the Hawaiian Breeze. Location was perfect - away from the craziness but close enough to all the attractions in either direction. The beds were also comfortable and the kitchen had everything. WIFI worked well as did the cable TV. Thanks for a fun trip. Ernie was also really fun with his two dogs. My 7 year old could not get enough of the dogs. He still talks about them.

A beautiful week in paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this great beach house with a total of 8 people and it was ideal for our family and friends vacation. I was lulled to sleep each night to the sound of crashing waves. The beach is spectacular and was just right for the swimmers, surfers and body boarders in our group. We went for long walks on the beach each day. We were close to shopping, restaurants and the action on the North Shore. The caretaker, Ernie was so friendly and helpful and his dogs were great company! The hardest part was leaving. We will be back!!

Perfect house on best beach in North Shore

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd stay at this superb house on the best beach in North Shore. Perfect beach for beginner/intermediate surfers, boogie boarders and everyone, without crowd. House is very spacious, great ocean view, clean and full of amenities. Local but very convenient to shopping and casual dining. Friendly and almost charismatic caretaker, Earnie, and his adorable dogs, will really take care of guests. Owner is very friendly and easy to communicate, and we are already booking for next New Year's Holiday!!

Perfect Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My family which included my husband and I, our 3 boys, and my parents stayed here for a week in March 2016. We absolutely loved everything about it. The beach area was great! Waves were perfect..big enough to do some boogie boarding, but not too rough were I was overly worried about the kids. House was clean and had everything you needed. Ernie the caretaker was great and full of information. We actually scheduled to come back March of 2017, but had to cancel. David is great to work with and he refunded our money the same day I contacted him. We will definitely be back as soon as we can arrange it. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!! Thank you so much for sharing your home! Can't wait to return!
