Why Osyth Henriquez / Jonathan Vieira chose De Bruynewijk
This property is an expression of myself. It is really a labor of love of mine. To best describe the aura of this property I can tell you the following: All my friends invite me to their parties and when I ask when and where, they always reply 'at your house at the time that most suits you.'

My family of 5, two friends, and I (8 adults) recently spent a week at Savaneta. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the home, and the beautiful unobstructed sunsets. The house appears to be a work in progress, and while there are many beautiful lights, furnishings, there are areas which are in need of repair. One of the restrooms did not work very well. The toilet overflowed on more than one occasion and the shower did not drain properly. We elected to buy groceries and cook at the house, but found that, while the kitchen is beautiful, it was not practical when cooking. You will definitely need a car if you stay at this house. Additionally, make sure you know the address of the house / condo you will be staying at upon arrival, or they will not allow you to enter Aruba. This was a bit of a hiccup for us, which was rectified, but a bit annoying. Allow 3 hours for departure, especially if you have a rental car. We used Hertz, and it took 45 minutes just to return the car, as they are very slow, and they really didn't seem to care if they helped you or not. My friends found it difficult to find things to do in Aruba. 4 members of our party went deep see fishing on the Dorothy (next to the submarine in town), and they took the fish to the Driftwood, where they prepared it and we all had a meal. Nice restaurant. We all ate at Zeerover, just 50 steps from the house, but not one person in our group liked the food. It was very greasy, as everything is fried. Three of our party ate at Flying Fishbone, and they really enjoyed it. A bit pricey, though.
Overall, our trip was relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend this house for adults without small children. I probably would not vacation here again, primarily due to the cost of the home. This house is 30 minutes from town, and traffic always seems to be heavy. If you plan to spend a lot of time gambling or want to be near town, this would not be the home for you.
Located in the historic old capital of Aruba, Savaneta, Casa Alistaire is the ideal place for a romantic get-a-way.
