Cute cottage

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed in late May. The location is great. We parked our car and were able to walk to many restaurants and sights. It was nice to have a kitchen for preparing small meals. We hope to come back next time we are in Miami.

Great Place in a Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Casa in the Grove for an extended weekend and it was perfect. The cottage is really cute, clean, has everything you need, and is within walking distance to Coco Walk. The owners are very nice and accommodating (late check-in was no problem). We can highly recommend it and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Miami.

Very nice place for our first visit to Miami.

  • 4 of 5

We rented the first floor unit during our brief winter escape from Boston. For travelers on a limited budget, this is an excellent rental at a reasonable price. We wished we could have stayed longer. If you want luxury, you may be happier elsewhere.

This house is cute, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and everything was new. The apartment has a nice layout, with three separate rooms: kitchen, living room, and bedroom with bathroom. The windows offer plenty of sunlight and can open for cool breezes (it was March, after all). There are ceiling fans and air conditioners that work very well.

This was our first trip to Miami, and Coconut Grove was perfect for us. It is a charming and peaceful neighborhood that lends itself to casual strolls day or night. We made the short walk to town almost every day. In town, we found a groovy juice bar called the Last Carrot, enjoyed a Peruvian meal at Jaguar restaurant, and dined at the gorgeous patio at Peacock Café. There’s also a great farmer’s market on Saturdays. We loved the location for short drives to Miami, South Beach, Little Havana, Coral Gables, and more. You can walk to the MetroRail: Coconut Grove station.

I am rating it four stars instead of five for two reasons: 1. Upon our arrival, we waited an hour for our host to greet us with keys to get inside. It was a human mistake on the owners’ part, and they (a husband and wife) were genuinely apologetic. In all of our interactions, they were very pleasant people; 2. The kitchen needs a few more (and better quality) supplies. We got the impression that we were the first visitors to a newly refurbished unit, so I expect the owners will continue to make any necessary improvements.
