We recently purchased this property and are renting it out to help pay for it so that one day we can retire in the beautiful Florida Keys.

For now we just vacation here as much as possible and when we are not dreaming of our little piece of paradise work as a pipefitter and paralegal in New Jersey.

We vacationed in Key Colony Beach in the summer of 2012 and by December 2012 had purchased this home. We loved it so much that we could not ignore the opportunity. It is a dream come true for us.

We chose this property for its location. Key Colony Beach is in such an ideal location and close to beaches, fishing, activities, amenities, dining etc. and centrally located for exploring the Florida Keys and visiting Key West. We feel our property offers you anything you could ever want for an affordable, wonderful, vacation whether you like to relax or be active.

What makes this cottage unique

Our property is unique as it is situated on a larger lot, has a private canal front pool, has 45 foot of dock-age, a carport and plenty of parking. Most duplexes in KCB only offer 37 foot of dock-age.

In addition, most 2 bedroom duplexes offer the Cabana Club but do not offer a private on-site pool. Our unit offers the Cabana Club and the most recent improvement the Private Inch Beach membership which allows our guests the privileges of beautiful private beach access 1 block from the unit as well as the convenience of having a beautiful pool right outside your door while still being affordable.

We have tried to provide all of the amenities we feel you need to help alleviate your vacation expenses by providing bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and coolers.

We believe if you choose our property you will notice that we love and care about our property and that it is truly our home and not just a rental.

We hope that you select our home for your vacation and our goal is that you will want to come back!

My family and I thoroughly staying here. It was the perfect spot to relax and play. They provided all the comforts of home in such beautiful setting. We really enjoyed coming home to the pool after playing on the boat all day.

Best Secret in Key Colony - 141 9th Street!

My family and I had a wonderful vacation staying at this well equipped house! Michelle, the Owner, had everything you could ever need while staying in the Keys! We also enjoyed the four (4) bikes that were available for myself and family. A lot of places you can ride your bikes to especially, the Cabana Club!

Having the swimming pool was exceptional! During those hot days when you wanted to take a break and grill out, the pool made a big difference and in the future, I would never want a house in the Keys without one!

I promise, you rent this house, you will be overjoyed with the experience. All you really need are your groceries and beverages...that being kid friendly and of course adult beverages!

Michelle, thank you again and you will certainly be hearing from us again!

Great stay

We just returned after two weeks at this great home. Even though it is a duplex we felt like it was a single home since no one was staying on either side of us. I can't say enough about how well the house was stocked with everything you could think of. The house was very clean and well taken care of with many cute outside decorations. We loved the pool and swam daily. The underwater light in the canal was mesmerizing watching the fish swim in circles. The owner left a hand written note to welcome us and stayed in contact to be sure we had everything needed and also answer any questions. We checked out Inch Beach but liked the house pool better and didn't ever go to the Cabana Club. Upon arrival there are many notes and signs to alert you to Key Colony rules you need to follow closely to avoid any fines. Take time to read them since they have their own police that strictly enforce these rules.

Perfect Centrally Located Pool Cottage

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful canal front cottage last month. The community, Key Colony Beach, was secluded and quiet. The location was perfect for exploring all the Florida Keys had to offer. It's about an hour from Key West - perfect for a day trip, which is exactly what we did.

The cottage was very clean and well kept and the private waterfront pool and hammock were a major bonus. So nice to come back from a long day exploring the Keys and hop in the pool! We also took advantage of the bikes provided by the owners to explore the community and nearby restaurants.

We can't wait to return to the Keys and when we do, we'll definitely be staying here again. Thanks so much for opening your home to us.

Wonderful vacation home - hoping to come back!!

This vacation home was perfect for our family of four - mom, dad and two teenagers. Located ideally, it was really clean and had so many amenities - honestly, I can't think of a detail that was skipped!

We loved the bikes and used them every day to get to the club house for the pool and beach, we even biked to dinner a few times. Biking to catch the sunset at the park was a fun way to wind down, as well. We like to stay somewhat active on vacation, and this was a fun way to explore Key Colony Beach. We really did enjoy the club house membership, and used it every single day!

Thank you for providing the fishing gear, fishing in the canal was a fun way to spend our early evenings, and gave us an opportunity to meet some of the neighbors who were vacationing with their boats. The canal made us wish we had rented a boat for the week, maybe next time!

We used the pool every day, and enjoyed cooling off every afternoon. Being on the canal and enjoying the sunset, while in the pool, was wonderful! It gave the kids an additional option, which is always a good thing. The house has an alarm you can activate for the sliding glass door onto the pool area, which is a great idea if you are travelling with small children.

The kitchen is updated, clean and well-stocked. You will want for nothing - plenty of pots and pans, utensils, glassware, and great appliances. I do cook while on vacation, so these things were important to us. If you chose not to cook, there are plenty of options for dining that are available nearby, whether you want to walk, bike or drive. The homeowners have provided a ton of local information in binders, on nearby restaurants and attractions and things to do - THANK YOU so much for doing that, you saved us time and energy, as this was our first time in the area!!!

This house was spacious for the four of us. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms provided the privacy we needed, while the open-plan kitchen and family room allowed us time together to eat, read, plan our day, or simply relax. The patio out back, however, was our favorite space to hang out and have morning coffee, or eat lunch and enjoy a swim, and of course, enjoy a cocktail and toast the sunset.

We will definitely be back! Thank you for providing a comfortable and clean home away from home, on what proved to be one of our family's favorite vacations!

Key Colony Beach is centrally located off of US 1 in the heart of the Florida Keys at MM 54 and is a perfect location for exploring everything the beautiful Florida Keys has to offer. Key Colony Beach is a pristine tropical island community and is called the 'Gem of the Florida Keys' (when you visit you will know why).

Our property is located within walking distance to beaches at Sunset Park and the Cabana Club, marinas, dive/snorkel shop, bars/restaurants, a coffee shop, unbelievable sunsets, golf, tennis, playgrounds and a walking/biking/jogging path. 2 food stores are close by (approx. 2 miles).

Our property is in the Marathon area and is close to beautiful Sombrero Beach (a beautiful public beach) (approx. 6 miles), Bahia Honda State Park (approx. 10 miles), Dolphin Research Center (approx. 5 miles), Marathon Lady Fishing Boat (an affordable head boat that provides bait, rods and you catch fish) (approx. 1 mile), Turtle Hospital (approx. 8 miles) The Famous Seven Mile Bridge (approx. 10 miles) Key West and Key Largo(approx. 50 miles) .

Many fabulous restaurants and bars with live entertainment on the water, too many to name all, our favorites are Sparky's, Cabana Breezes and Key Colony Inn (right in our community) and Frank's (Marathon) and the Hideaway in Grassy Key.

We are close to anything you could possibly want or need to have a fabulous vacation. Whether you want many activities or to just relax.
