Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

This was by far the best place we stayed at! Hosts are very nice and hospitable. House is super clean. Perfect location on the schoodic peninsula facing the ocean. We stayed there in the spring and the host sent us information on what restaurants would be open at the time which was very helpful. We loved cooking/ eating lobster dinner on the ocean in their beautiful dining room. Highly recommend the place!

Beautiful home, great waterfront location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had such a wonderful week in Maine and really enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! The views from the comfort of the house were so amazing. Our children really enjoyed playing on the rocky shore outside and loved having their own kid's camp in the upstairs room. The house had absolutely everything that we needed and was very clean! We enjoyed using the fireplace, which we found heated the home very nicely!

We can't wait to go back!!!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to take a last-minute mini-vacation in the middle of March. We researched homes in Maine and luckily decided on this one.

Wayne and Beth were awesome to work with and they promptly answered every question we asked.

The property is perfect; situated right on the ocean, with gorgeous views. It is very private, with only a few other homes nearby. We loved getting up early to watch the sunrise every morning, each one more beautiful than the next.

The house is newly built and has a great deal of charm. It is well thought-out and comfortable. The master bathroom is the best one we've seen, with a large tub that easily fits two people. The fireplace was cozy and added a nice feel to the house. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook all our meals there, including our choice of coffee makers. The breakfast nook was a cozy place to eat, drink coffee, work on a puzzle or just take a nap.

This is the 4th home we've rented, in the past 3 years and is by far the nicest. Often, the homes don't resemble the photos posted by owners but in this case, they are accurate. To be honest, the home looks better in person than in the photos.

The only thing that could have made our vacation better is warm weather so we could enjoy the screened in porch, yard and water. That's why we have already booked our next stay for August!!

If you've been searching for the perfect place to stay in Maine, look no further.

Amazing house, incredible hosts

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house for a couple of days after Christmas as a gift to our family. The house couldn't have been nicer. It is beautifully decorated and absolutely clean! Everything in the kitchen has been labeled making it so easy to feel right at home when looking for dishes, cups, and silverware. This little organizational bit made it feel like home--no fumbling around trying to remember where something is kept. And what a well-stocked kitchen! While there I made a pie. Everything I needed was there--rolling pin, pie dish, you name it!

The layout of the house is terrific. The kids stayed upstairs. Our 7-year-old loved the slide!! The kids felt like they had their own private space, and we enjoyed our sense of space and privacy too.

One of the nicest parts of our vacation was our very unexpected 3rd night stay. We had rented the house for just two nights, and on the day we were scheduled to leave the weather forecast was not good. A snowy New England storm. We were getting ready to make an early start to try the miss the storm, but the owners contacted us and very graciously offered us a free extra night so we wouldn't have to drive in bad conditions. We were so appreciative of their thoughtfulness. We had an incredible day. We got to watch the trees blowing in the wind and the waves crashing on the rocks from the warmth and safety of the fireplace. We will definitely come back!!

Wonderful October Stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Wayne & Beth's house on the Corea waterfront with another couple and two adult sons. This was our first time using VRBO and this experience could not have been better. When you look at the pictures of the house you see a 100% accurate representation of what the house is when you first walk in the door. We spent 3 nights, October 22nd through the 24th. You have picturesque views of the ocean from the house, a nice screened in porch to drink coffee when the day begins, and a well-appointed kitchen for preparing meals. The Corea Lobster coop is close by and sells lobster for great prices (especially compared to what it costs in Kansas where we live), as does the DC Air store in Winter Harbor where my wife and I have actually bought our seafood the last 2 years on visits to this side of the Acadia peninsula. The bedrooms are comfortable - I usually wake up during the night when I'm sleeping on a bed other than in my own house - but never woke here until the morning. All 6 of us staying here had a great time. Thanks Wayne and Beth for a thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Wonderful waterfront home on the Schoodic Peninsula!!

  • 5 of 5

The week we spent in Wayne and Beth's home was just the best vacation ever. The sounds of the water breaking on the shore, the wind in the trees, and the "muttering" of the lobster boats soon became familiar and soothing friends.

The photos Wayne and Beth show of their home are spot on. Their home is immaculate and will provide for all your needs. I really think they have anticipated thoughtfully what will make your stay pleasant.

The Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park is close by and not to be missed. We took a boat tour out of Bar Harbor to get a sense of how things look from the water and then hiked along the shore both on Mt. Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula to see such amazing scenery from land.

In the evening we returned to the quiet haven Wayne and Beth provide and were quite content. Thank you Wayne and Beth for a great week!!
