The Perfect Hamptons Experience

  • 5 of 5

Our week in the Hamptons started after a long drive, but pulling up to this beautiful home melted all the stress away. The owners were very accommodating with our arrival time even helping with a rental crib delivery that got there before us! We felt so welcomed by the host owners as they walked us through the many amenities this gem has to offer. We spent most of our time enjoying the backyard oasis. The pool was a major hit (the soft water felt spa-like); outdoor dining many nights under the trellis was amazing; lounging options either poolside or under cover of the patio with music avail indoors and out-loved it! Everyone loved the outdoor shower-a must do. The inside of the house is beautifully decorated but allows you to feel comfortable. The beds were all very comfy and the bathrooms well appointed. The bikes available made exploring the area fun and a way to burn off some of the extra calories we enjoyed. The neighborhood is also nice for taking walks in the evening-stroller friendly. The location is absolutely ideal for hitting all the towns and with backroad directions(owners) we were able to avoid most of the bad Hwy 27 traffic. Highly recommend this home and would love to stay again.

Quintessential Hamptons Home

  • 5 of 5

We stated here on a Sunday through a Friday in June. We had 7 adults and two babies and found that the home comfortably accommodated us. We particularly loved the location, the pool, and the outdoor shower. The hosts were great to work with and were very welcoming of us into their beautiful home.

Peter and his wife keep their home in impeccable condition. I feel lucky to have been able to spend a glorious week there with my family.

The gardens on the property are gorgeous and you also have access to a beautiful community dock on Mecox Bay.

I do think this home might be difficult with older children as they have such nice furniture I would be worried about kids damaging anything.

Wonderful Hamptons Home

  • 5 of 5

I can’t say enough good things about the house and the hosts! The owners are wonderful and very easy to work with to plan a perfect stay. If you have any questions that you forget to ask in person, they also provide their own detailed, personal guide to the house, and the surrounding community, and they’ve thought of more than you will even need (down to the helmets that go with the bicycles in the pool shed).

The home is elegantly decorated in a classic Hamptons style that is respectful of tradition but still feels very livable and comfortable; you can tell how much thought they have put into their beautiful home. We especially loved thoughtful touches in the living room, like a basket of portable cushions for the outdoor dining area, towels for the pool, and oversized sky-blue armchairs.

The house is very spacious with a large and comprehensively appointed kitchen which was perfect for cooking for a large group. The layout is light-filled and completely inviting, perfect for the indoor-outdoor living that any visitor should enjoy in the summer.

The “outdoor rooms” were easily the best part of our stay! We loved the backyard pool with outdoor shower, and the serene poolside set of natural canvas and wood lounge chairs, umbrellas, and side tables. There’s also a great BBQ grill with an 8-person wooden table to have cookouts, with two additional outdoor seating areas for even more options if you need them (we had a beautiful outdoor brunch). All of this sits in the shade of a vine-hung trellis, on a spacious stone patio. Both the backyard and the front yard are enclosed by neat hedges.

The rooms were all large and accommodated our group very easily, we loved the comfy beds, little round rugs, and the private deck between the upstairs bedrooms. Also, they have a wonderful sound system that connects to the whole house so you can enjoy your music in virtually every room and even outside by the pool. All and all, I can’t recommend this house enough! Every single aspect was thoughtful, of perfect quality and taste, clear, unimposing, and conducive to a relaxing weekend. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back!
