Why Kathie Stallworth chose North Augusta

This is great house that we have enjoyed living in since 1976. We used to rent out for Masters and then stopped when we hosted Olympic hopeful rowers who trained on the Savannah River. We did this for free for a number of years until the training site relocated out of town. Many lasting friendships resulted from those years.

As a result of our business we happened upon some Masters visitors that were in need of housing several years ago . I talked to them on the phone concerning our business and found they were coming but having a hard time locating a place to stay nearby. I invited them to come here on the spur of the moment. They accepted and arrived a few weeks later. During supper on our porch the first night one of them got a phone call. He excused himself to take it as it was from one of his daughters. When he came back to the table we inquired if all was well. He said that it was, but his daughter was worried about them as they did not know us and really came in without much research as to who we were or our home. He said, 'I told her not to worry as we had landed in paradise!'

We love our home and entertaining in it.. If you rent here it will be a delightful time, rest assured.

Great host, clean home.

Kathie was very kind to meet us upon arrival, and made herself available if needed. Very clean home, well stocked kitchen for cooking. She allowed us a late check out due to needing to get showered after the Ironman Race before heading home.

Very nice place to stay!

We felt very fortunate to find this house during Hurricane Irma. We were in town for business and Kathie made our accommodations like we were at home. If you get a chance to meet their dog Lucy, she is something special. I would highly recommend this home!

Beautiful home with gracious hosts!

  • 5 of 5

What a charming home!! If you love books, history, thoughtful and nostalgic decor, the south, old pictures, meandering garden paths, beautiful flowers, word art with positive messages, interesting antiques, lovely collections of art, knick-knacks, globes, and crafts, comfortable beds, your choice of well-appointed reading nooks, a large back porch surrounded by mature trees where squirrels play, birds sing, and a sweet calico cat visits daily, and very gracious hosts - you will love staying in this home! Kathie and Jerry were so welcoming and helpful to us. We wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend renting this historic home!

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

This property is located only 10 minutes from Augusta National. If you are attending the Masters, this is the place to stay. The property was immaculate. The outdoor space was very relaxing. All bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen had anything you could want to cook on your own. Restaurant and recreation information was readily available. What makes this a standout property is the owners. Jerry and Kathie go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional. They cooked us a full southern breakfast each day and had dinner waiting the night we arrived. Jerry offered to drive us to the Masters and pick us up at the end of the day. He did lead us there so we wouldn't get lost. He also made arrangements for us to golf at a local golf course. Kathie should open her own restaurant. This stay was exceptional. It was like going home to visit. Thank you for everything!!! We hope to return.
